This movie was definitely not what I had expected. On rare occassion I'll find a remake where I haven't seen the original-this was that occassion.
The previews for this movie looked very promising! So as with most movies, I waited until it came out on dvd to purchase it. (I don't get out to the theater often with two small children!)
Now, I've seen some pretty horrid movies where the 'horror' part was missing and the 'gore' was up front and personal. This movie is one of those. Definitely not scary at all. At times what you thought was going to happen didn't-this movie went a bit further than most. When those things happened, you didn't realise that the camera was going to be in your face!
I'm not going to give away any snippets or scenes, but I will say that if you like slightly disturbing gore with a strange plot, this is the movie for you. I had my hands on my face in shock during the main part of this movie when things started kicking into gear!
