Industry Reviews This work and its predecessor, Rajtar's Hiking Trails, Eastern United States (LJ 12/95), together offer a comprehensive resource guide for the country's trails, providing information for almost any trail in the United States. Here, the main focus is to provide the reader with a name, address, and telephone number from which further and current information can be obtained. The book is organized by state, with an additional chapter on interstate trails; each chapter then lists the trails by location, according to their distance from the closest city. Also included are the trail's distance, whether it is a loop or straight, if Boy Scout awards can be earned for walking it, and when the author last hiked it to verify the information. Not a descriptive travelog but an index of trails with accompanying resources to seek further information; for hiking fans. Melinda Stivers Leach, Precision Editorial Svcs., Wondervu, Col. Ives
