The Kottonmouth Kings have improved both their songwriting and song production, and solid tracks like "The Joint," "First Class," and "Here We Go Again" repeatedly display their tour-honed craft. Though HIGH SOCIETY contains a widely diverse mix of styles and influences, hip-hop is the constant theme. The listener is kept on a on a wild sonic ride, with cuts such as the reggae-flavored "Face Facts," the West Coast hip-hop funk of "The Lottery," and the electronica-vibed "Daydreamin' Fazes." With the added bonus of an Insane Clown Posse guest appearance on "Wicket Klowns," HIGH SOCIETY is an impressive mix of contemporary elements and smoked-out sounds.
