High School Musical 2 by Disney's Karaoke Series (CD, Sep-2007, Walt Disney Records)

HSM 1&2 are my daughters favorite movies and she loves singing the songs from them so I thought I'd get this cd. She loves it!

My daughter wanted a HSM themed birthday party. As with most of the parties I've planned over the last few years, I carefully planned each facet of the party carefully, from decorations to entertainment, then immediately went to Ebay to find the things that I would need. This CD turned out to be a just the thing. The sound was good, the CD+G lyrics were clear and easy for even the youngest to follow along, and all the songs they loved were on it. The only downfall to the CD seemed to be a difficulty with the stereo balance, but unless you're looking to re-record these songs professionally, it shouldn't be too much of an issue. It worked great for our purposes. The party went off without a hitch with the help of this great karoake CD.

I liked the fact that it shipped relatively quickly, and it was not as expensive as it would have been had I bought it at the store.

A fun way to sing the songs. It has some back up help with the chorus on most songs. Sounds close to the original!

I decided to buy this cd for my daughter because she loves High School Musical 1 & 2 and she loves to sing. This cd is the best!

The kids love it. We have family night and we are always fight what should be played first. So, guess what wins (High School Musical2).

I do like this CD, the songs are great, background vocals right on. The only negative would be that the intro into the music takes between 17-20 seconds per song...a little long. Other than that the CD is perfect. I used Sharpay's song Fabulous in a skit for a women's retreat. It was hysterical.

This CD-G has all the hits from the show sung by the original cast members. All the tracks have both original vocals and no-lead-vocals versions, so less confident singers (or readers) can sing along without feeling too self conscious. The lyrics are easy to read and color-coded so duets are effortless. One of the better Karaoke CDs out there.

I purchased this disc to supplement my daughter's "Diva Dance Party" and it was a hit! The girls were given copies of the original songs to practice before the big day. Most already knew the lyrics, but the Karaoke screen is very revealing to 8 year-olds. The karaoke "lyric-less" songs are first, then you get the originals right after (by the original artists, which is a plus). If you've got High School Musical fans who love all the songs, then they'll love this disc.
