Oh, I really enjoyed this audiobook. I hadn't read the book, but I have enjoyed other Nora Roberts books and audiobooks, so I thought I'd give it a try and I wasn't disappointed. The characters were interesting and the plot was pretty good.

I HAVE ALWAYS LIKE NORA ROBERTS. AND THIS CD BOOK WAS NO EXCEPTION. THE READER IS GREAT, THE READING OF THE STORY WILL KEEP YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS CD TO ANYONE, EVEN IF YOU HAVE NOT READ OR HEARD ANY OF NORA ROBERTS WORKS.
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS BOOK MADE INTO A FOR TV MADE MOVIE, LIKE SOME OF HER OTHER WORKS. ALTHOUGH THIS IS THE FIRST AUDIO CD THAT I HAVE HEARD BY NORA ROBERTS I KNOW THAT I WILL PROBABLY ORDER SOME MORE. I HAVE ORDERED SEVERAL 3 OR FOUR MORE OF HER AUDIO BOOKS, BUT HAVE NOT HEARD THEM. Another great readstarts off a little slow, but warms up quickly. Nora Roberts has a way of expressing family interactions that are so realistic and believable. Another must read on that end of summer list.

I really liked this book. It was suspenseful, full of life and well written. I hope you like it too.
Here is the basic plot. Pheobe survived a traumatic hostage event as a child and grew up to be a hostage negotiator working under the man that saved her life. She meets Ducan Swift, a bar owner, when one of his ex-employees threatens to end it all by jumping to his death. The problem is that someone from her past is out to get her, not only by sabotaging her career, but he also is out for blood. This madman wants Pheobe to hurt and pay for what she has done...Trouble is, she doesn't know who is after her. With Duncan’s support, and a little help, they just may be able to unravel the case before 'High Noon' and before those she loves are harmed... or killed.
