High Noon by Nora Roberts (2007)

I really liked this book. It was suspenseful, full of life and well written. I hope you like it too.

Here is the basic plot. Pheobe survived a traumatic hostage event as a child and grew up to be a hostage negotiator working under the man that saved her life. She meets Ducan Swift, a bar owner, when one of his ex-employees threatens to end it all by jumping to his death. The problem is that someone from her past is out to get her, not only by sabotaging her career, but he also is out for blood. This madman wants Pheobe to hurt and pay for what she has done...Trouble is, she doesn't know who is after her. With Duncan’s support, and a little help, they just may be able to unravel the case before 'High Noon' and before those she loves are harmed... or killed.

I bought this book on the reccommendation of my sister. The person I bought it from (raebird1) was excellent in sending it to me. Very, very satisfied with the whole procedure. This was my first time on E-Bay.

This is a new hard-back book, which arrived in excellent condition. I am very pleased with this order.

This is the first Nora Roberts book that I have read. I am hooked! Once I began this book I couldn't put it down. This story was set in Savannah with a strong single mom who is a Police Negotiator as the main character. Fabulously addicting read! As soon as I finished this novel I logged onto ebay so that I could order more Nora Roberts books.

I bought this novel by Nora Roberts because I have been reading Nora Roberts novels for a few years and I just know she has some really good books. This is one of the really good ones. I highly recommend this novel. It is captivating, it is the kind of book you don't want to put down. The main characters Phoebe and Duncan are having a whirlwind romance while trying to solve a very involved case. The only thing I don't always like about her books is the cursing,I just don't like to read that, it is minimal.

Nora Roberts excels in her novel, High Noon, by making any reader want to seek refuge to any hiding place- to have the chance to finish this awesome novel. Realistic characters with a witty sarcasms and senses of humor really helps bring the story to life. As for the ending.. never would expect it to end as it does. So I think this is one of her best novels- and looking forward to re-reading it in the future!

I bought a New Nora Roberts Book High Noon.It was an Excellent Book I could't put it down.I would recommend this book to anyone.It was very inexpensive.The only thing I didn't like was that it was a hard back instead of a paper back.

Always buy Nora Roberts new titles. Book good but a formulaic, she's getting predictable. Still would recommend it.

Classic Nora!!!! Once I started, could not put the book down. Fast pace, keeps you on the edge of your seat and just keeps on going. Wonderful characters, diverse personalities. Wonderful family ties, want them for my own. Nora just pulls you into the characters and makes them yours.

Since I own all of Nora Roberts' books I decided that I just had to have this one too. This book is one of her best yet. I enjoyed it from cover to cover and would recommend it to anyone.

NORA'S DONE IT AGAIN...HER CHARACTERS IN THE BOOK ARE AS ALWAYS, DIFFERENT AND YOU CAN'T BUT JUST LOVE THEM...STORE LINE STARTS OFF WITH A BANG, RIGHT AT THE START...AND JUST KEEPS MOVING...I LIKE THE (MOM) CHARACTER WHO HAS AGORPHOBIA..AND HOW THE WOMEN DEALS WITH IT AND HER FAMILY..GREAT BOOK WON'T GO WRONG TO BUY "HIGH NOON". THANK GOODNESS FOR EBAY...

Great book and wonderful read can't put it down. The book was in excellant condition when I receved it. I love Nora Roberts and this is one of her best.

I love reading Nora Roberts and i wanted this book.I seen it on ebay so i thought i would bid on it. I won and i was very excited to get my book. The only thing that i bought it during holidays and it took like 2 1/2 weeks to get here. But i am enjoying reading it and i will most likely go and get another book.

This was another great book from one of my favorite authors. The story took place in my hometown(Savannah)and Ms.Roberts had all the streets,squares, and other locations perfect. She is a great spinner of tales.

Started off with a lot of tension and action. Working up as a Hostage Negotiator through a mentor that had helped her through trauma from childhood. I noticed that a lot of the phrases were like cop-speak. Chopped off. I love reading her books, but have to say I was disappointed in the fragmented ending. Left a lot of unfinished business hanging in my estimation.

I usually enjoy ANYTHING Nora Roberts writes! As usual, she delivers an excellent story in this book. There were several unexpected plot twists that kept me turning the pages.

I loved this book and thought it was one of Nora Roberts best writing to date.
I bought this book because I love reading Nora Roberts' books. I am glad I did buy it.

It held your attention right from the beging to the end I couldn't put it down I read the untire book in 1 day.

I love all of Nora Roberts books,I thought this one was great. It kept my interest from begining to end. You thought it was one person, and it turned out different.Phoebe and her family, Duncan and his made for a good mix..kept you guessing what was going on. You didn't know till the end , Who, What, and Why.
Nora has a great talent.....Love J D Robb books too..
