Suspenseful Romance

This was a very enjoyable light read--a perfect beach book! Likeable characters that are nicely developed, a clever plot that keeps you guessing, and the exotic Savannah backdrop makes for a great combination.
I particularly liked that this heroine was old enough to be dealing with caring for her mother as well as her child. It made for an interesting twist and a realistic concern for a lot her Ms. Roberts' readers, I'm sure.
The only thing I didn't like was the tie-in to the movie High Noon. I thought that seemed a bit contrived. But the rest of the book was such a pleasure that seems like a very minor issue.
