It was easy to install and immediately booted up with no problems. [I upgraded from a 14" flatscreen] I Initially saw this monitor being used at Home Depot for customer special order catalog use. I was amazed at the photo-like quality of the display. So I immediately did research online and discovered that there were many other new owners who praised this monitor. I also read many of the expert reviews, and yes this monitor doesn't incorporate the latest speedy technology, but for the money this is a good buy. I purchased my desktop from Sam's and it came with the HPw2207 screen. I LOVE the new screen.....clarity is great and I like the fact that I can get EVERYTHING in front of me. Don't have to move from side to side! If you want a fantastic screen for your computer, get this one, or better yet, get a completely new setup....computer and this screen. Its pure and sleek design. The performance of the HP w2207 is amazing! I love to watch movies and edit my photos. The only thing you have to look at when you are gonna buy this monitor is that you must have a fair space in your desk because i does have a quite large base. But its still a great monitor.
