Hewlett Packard Scanjet 8300 Professional Flatbed Scanner

I am a senior and although I am comfortable around computers I certainly am not an expert or even close. Anyhow, I found this scanner very easy to set up, and also easy to use. I plan to use the scanner to archive old documents, photos, slides, etc to preserve family info for my children and grandchildren. For example, I have my mother and father's wedding certificate (1931), their old passports, many old pictures, etc. With this scanner, I can save all this stuff and make up CDs for family members. There is no "how to use" info that came with the scanner, but the very first day I went to online help (close to midnight) and had some links sent to me that were just what I needed. I have always found HP products to be very reliable, and this was no exception.
