Hewlett Packard Photosmart 7960 InkJet Printer

I've now owned two of these printers..the first one finally died because we had a power surge at the house and it wasn't plugged into a protector. So had to buy another one. I'm a professional photographer and use these for printing for my work when I don't need 8-color for my prints..saves on ink and still gives me results that commpare 90% with my 8-color printers. Very capable of high-quality images up to 81/2x 11 and doc printing is excellent. The only thing that is a drawback is the ink is expensive from HP and you can use refills, but the software for the HP has problems recognizing re-filled cartridges sometimes and tells you they are empty and need to be changed. It will still print with thee cartridges, but the error warnings are annoying. So it's difficult to know how much ink is left because the software isn't reading the levels correctly with refills. So just keep an extra cartridge or 3 around with this machine if doing alot of color printing. But my overall review is a Thumbs Up +++ on this overlooked printer.

This printer is simply amazing. From normal photos to macro photos the detail is retained. There is no loss of the image from what you see on your computer screen to the photo it prints. This printer will not disappoint you in any way.

Printer is much faster than my current Photosmart 1115, unit is very large and heavy, takes up alot of space, needed to upgrade because I will be using Windows Vista on new machince and didn't want to purchase a "all in one" unit.

it prints pics. it take alot of space .It very nice though. it clog easy I don't no way. I got it for my mother.

Great all purpose photo capable printer. Can be used to print photos with or without computer. It's a big printer but it sure works nice!

Bought the printer to replace the exact model which no longer worked. The printer prints any type of documents and photos. It has 2 photo printer cartridges. The reproductions are excellent and the paper sensor automatically sets itself for the type of paper used. It uses 2 standard cartridges (black, color). The photo cartridge may or may not be used depending on what is to be printed. For black and white photos and certain color photos, the photo black/gray cartridge may be used in place of the black. The prints are clear and sharp. The back-to-back attachment, which came off of another earlier printer fits on the 7960 and allows 2 sided paper print.

when i received the printer ( in great shape and quickly ), he forgot the cables. he soon realized the mistake, emailed me of the mistake and sent the cables.
