Hewlett Packard Officejet Pro K550 InkJet Printer

I had great expectations of speed and durability. I was sadly disappointed.
While the print speed is quick, the paper handling is very poor. I now know why HP discontinued it and a bunch of people are now selling these for a cheap price.

It is a fair deal at $90.00 as long as you keep in mind that there is no warranty support for these. If you buy one, buy a service plan to go with it.

I bought this printer aprox. 3.5 years ago. It is a great printer for photographs and prints beautifully. It does go through a lot of Girations of which I suspect is the way it cleans it print heads. It does this every few print jobs and does take time to do this. I just ordered ink for the original one I bought 3.5 years ago which is not cheap and then I had the problem occur. It had the lights come on and it just wouldn't print and even after replacing the ink cartridge it still was kaplooie. The worse feature is that if one ink cartridge goes out (there are 4 of them) but if one goes out it just won't print and it leaves you in a mess with an incompleted print job and you running to a store to replace one ink cartridge so I suggest you have them stocked up in order to avoid this. I was lucky enough to find this one on ebay and relieved since I had just spent 50 dollars on remanufactured cartridges that were on the way. I will never really knoiw what happened to the other one, maybe the print heads got damamged from all the girations it went through that day but I do love the printer and did use it a lot in the 3.5 years I owned it and it was cheaper to buy another one than repleace print heads. All in all I do love this printer. It is made well and a great price in comparison to the junk out there I see now, so I'm giving it another go round and hoping for the best. The ebay seller also gave me free shipping and I paid $99.00 for it...not bad!

i believe the printer is a excellent one. So good this is my second one. The first lasted for a long time and I got plenty of use from it. Unfortunately this printer has been nothing but trouble. I do believe that there are lemons of every product out there and I got one.
