It saves me so much time because if I need 1 copy or several, I can go to my reliable HP printer. It has settings on it so much like an expensive copier. I can make 99 copies or 1. It has more than 1 speed. I can also lighten or darken a copy. This is a great machine. I have never used the fax feature since I don't have an extra phone line in my classroom. Due to shrinking budgets in schools, we are often given a limit of copies that we can make on our school copier. She has a home office and very small downtown office/showroom. She is not technically savy at all because she is an older woman who grew up when computers were the size of a football field. I and she like it because it easy is to use and offers every possible option. It was very easy to setup, PC install, and maintain with Cartridge replacement. Most of all it was easy for me to train her on how to use it. She loves the option of forwarding faxes from her office HP 5610 to her home office HP5610. Great buy and product. I needed an all in one for my home office and bought the HP5610. This was one of the easiest printers to use and set up that I have ever used. I really like being able to scan documents and save them as PDF files. The print quality is excellent and the ink doesn't seem to run when it gets wet like other printers that I have had. I also like that it can use a unique ring tone so I don't need a to spend the money on a totally separate phone line. The scan feature is really easy to use and I like the way the scan window automatically pops up on the computer when I place a document in the feeder to be scanned. This is the second one I've bought...1 for each of my 2 homes. I love it because it is so user friendly, and does not take much space while serving 4 functions. I use it a lot for my EBay business, and have been able to scan a lot of my filing cabinet into my computer. I don't have to run out to get copies, or to send or receive faxes. As I sit and wait for my second replacement 5610 All-in-One, let me tell you what great problems I've experienced already. I purchased this printer, followed all the instructions for unpacking and setting it up. After an hour of reading the manual and checking the online support files it was determined that my printer would not calibrate the ink cartridges. After spending thirty minutes on the phone with HP, they agreed that my printer was "defective" and they would ship me a new one, free of charge. Fast forward ten days later, I received my replacement printer. I set it up and to my surprise it calibrated! All problems fixed right? WRONG! Everytime this wonderful printer printed a page, the paper would get stuck at the last second and I would get a "Carrier Error." So, after troubleshooting the problem myself and finally spending another 30 minutes of my life that I will never get back on the telephone, the tech deteremined the "replacement printer" was also "defective." So, in case you're keeping score at home kids, I am now waiting for my third piece of garbage... err HP printer. Bottom line: Spend the extra money and get a better model.
