LaserJet 4200 Printer

My firm purchased a new HP LaserJet 4200 printer about two and one half years ago. At that time the cost was approximately $1,000.00 and that was a good deal. Now, two and one half years later we purchased a used HP LaserJet 4200 with about 35,000 copies on it for less than $250.00 delivered. The printer is designed to be a workhorse and to make up to 200,000 copies a month. Therefore, I would estimate the life of a typical printer to be somewhere around 5,000,000 copies. Buying one with a low copy count is like buying a car with less than 5,000 miles on it. The quality of the printing once you get by the configuration and are able to figure out how to set up commands is fantastic. My experience is that unlike computers that are always changing and being improved, the printer is built to last, will last for years and handles even the largest and most demanding of offices.
