The toners are pricey...but you only have to buy them after 10,000 prints at least...sometimes you can get 15K or so just by shaking it up. The HP 4100 is a solid workhorse designed to be fast and reliable. I'm currently in graduate school and have to print a lot. My family and I split use of an inkjet which runs through ink constantly. I found a 4100n with duplexer for a great price and it rocks. Now I don't have to worry about the kids printing too much or taking a lot of time to print a 5 page document. I just leave it on all the time and let it rip when I need to. Plus having three computers at home, the network card inside makes sharing issues obsolete.
