Hewlett Packard LaserJet 2200D Printer

With HP Printers, you get a name you can trust. Having used HP Lasers for many years I was very happy to be given my 2200D. I loved that it connects via USB for faster and easier connection. Also, as it is a HP, you can buy replaceable toners for a marginal cost as everybody makes compatible toners!
The 2200D is a fast printer, with little fuss and great reliability. A great choice for a cheap second hand laser!

I AM THE PRES/SEC OF A SMALL BUSINESS. I OWNED A HEWLET PACKARD LASER JET 2200D FOR SEVERAL YEARS USING IT DAILY TO PRINT MANY, MANY PAPERS. BUT--NOTHING LAST FOREVER! WHEN MY OLD PRINTER STOPPED PRINTING - I FREAKED OUT! I KNEW THAT THE PRINTER COULD PROBABLY BE FIXED BUT I NEEDED IT TODAY!! I WANTED TO USE THE NEW INK CARTRIDGES THAT I HAD ALREADY PURCHASED FOR THE HP2200D AND I WANTED TO USE THE SAME CONNECTION CORDS THAT I ALREADY HAD. WITH ALL THIS IN MIND, I GOT ON EBAY AND WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND A PRINTER EXACTLY LIKE THE ONE THAT I HAD!! SO, I PURCHASED A USED HP2200D PRINTER IN MINT CONDITION FOR A GREAT PRICE! I WAS VERY SURPRISED WHEN THE NEW PRINTER ARRIVED IN JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS!! THE PRINTER WAS SHIPPED TO ME AS SOON AS I PLACED THE ORDER! WHEN THE PRINTER ARRIVED, I PLUGGED IT IN USING THE OLD CORDS AND I WAS UP AND RUNNING IN 5 MINUTES!! I DIDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT REPLACING THE PRINTER CARTRIDGE BECAUSE THE PRINTER CAME WITH A NEW INK CARTRIDGE!!

The Hewlett Packard LaserJet 2200D Printer is fast and quiet. It will print 2 sides of the paper which can lead to a great savings. It is a workhorse and will give many years of high print quality with a low cost per page. If used in a home environment, it will keep many users pleased with it's performance.

The printer came in broken, but I think this happen in shipping, for it was a support bracket holding the fuser roller in place, once repaired the printer itself works great. Would recommend the LaserJet 2200D to any small office needing a good replacement laser printer. I do suggest you price around for the toner. The price and quality is better than some or most of the newer models.

Frankly, some of the inexpensive laser printers available at the office megastores and BestBuy just are too cheap to rely on for a home office set-up. Finding a used office-grade laser printer on ebay was perfect. For a bit more than the cost of a new OEM cartridge, I was able to obtain a reliable, industrial strength printer with 75% of the life of the cartridge and 60% of the drum and imager still available. Obviously, a potential buyer takes the risk of buying a faulty printing platform, so use the seller profiles and feedback to discern who is reliable and who should be avoided. I would concentrate on sellers of multiple printers rather than one-shot wonders. I purchased a flawed HP 1012 printer from the latter and now I have a parts printer with 90% of the life of the cartridge still available. Not good. But this 2200D is great. The only downside for me, as a Mac user, is I have been unable to to take advantage of the two-sided printing option that comes with this printer. Attaching my employer-provided Dell laptop (serviceable, but still a PC) to this printer allows me to access this feature. Overall, I am one happy camper with this purchase made late spring of this year.

I wanted to replace my very old HP DeskJet printer that was capable of automatic double sided printing with a LaserJet that was capable of automatic double sided printing. Current HP LaserJets with this capability were prohibitively expensive. I found a number of used 2200D LaserJets on eBay. The seller I went with (bearmanou) was excellent.

The printer has been in service for a month and has performed flawlessly. I've added memory, a LAN card and purchased a backup toner cartridge (all on eBay of course). Everything plugged in and worked first time. HP has a deserved reputation for quality. They also have a great library of manuals in PDF format for free download.

This printer was a good buy for our application! Good transaction with the seller and prompt service!

It arrived broken. The packaging to send it was horrible. He/She only used bubble wrap to protect it inside a standard cardboard box. I will probably never buy electronics from Ebay again. I wasn't going to sweat it for a $50 purchase. Sorry but so was I.

My mom has this printer and she borrow it to me. When I used the printer for first time, It was so easy to use. I'd just plug the cable to my laptop, conect the power supply and my computer recognize it. I can print inmediatedly. Now I buy one for me. This printer its so fast too and its finish paper are excellent quality.

This printer was purchased at a great price and it performs wonderfully! The duplexing feature is very handy to have when you're printing 2-sided pages; no more figuring how how to flip the pages or printing out the odd pages and then the even pages. A great feature about a laser printer is the fact that the printing is perfect for shipping label barcode!! the post office can read the barcode much easier when printing is output from a laser printer...it's so crisp and black!

I can finally print on both sides of the page! And it's fast and the toner cartridges are inexpensive! No negatives I can determine!
