I bought a Laserjet 1600 COLOR printer from IMAGEWHAREHOUSE. Apart from taking double the selling from my Paypal account I have never received the printer.
I tried emailing the SELLER but got a meaningless auto responder reply.
Some six weeks later I have no refund of the overpaymant and no printer has been delivered.

Quality jobs but not fast. Easy set up. Best price is to go to HP.com and look for their 'clearance' area - you'll find them now (4-8-08) for $149 shipped to your door. Worth it.

high cost of color printingNice printer for a small office. Fairly reliable if one does not overprint.
watch the cost of toners , it could send you to the cleaners.Also the transfer belt is an additional cost not found in monochrome printers.Remanufactured cartriges ate a probelem. They cost less but are not warrantied and often leak
inside the printer

Know what you are buyingI bought this for my assistant so she could do color printing at her desk without running to a group printer half way across the building. She loves it, I love that we get more work done and I carefully read the description before I put in a bid so I knew that the freight cost was high, I knew it did not come with cartridges, which you can get at a great price on the net, and we are completely satisfied.

Hewlett Packard LaserJet 1600 PrinterI wasted $200+ on this ($70 for the printer and $150 for print cartridges). When I print a page, it prints the whole page dark gray with some colors showing thru vaguely. No help from HP.

FIRST THE PRINTER TOOK FOR EVER TO ARRIVED AND WHEN FINALLY GOT HERE THERE WERE NO CARTRIDGES IN IT, THE SELLER NEVER SAID THAT THEY WASN'T INCLUDED.

The printer itself is great ... the quality has been good. Its affordable for color laser printing ... I am quite happy!!
There are two down sides ..
1 - The printer is fairly large... You need space for it.
2 - The ink is very expensive.
That being said, you can put the printer under the desk and it works great and as for the ink, the cartridges are expensive but last for ~1000 pages.
I would recommend this to any family wanting higher quality printing. I am not sure that the machine is up for a large amount of printing, so a business would be better off investing in a higher end printer.

I can not give a review because I have not been able to use it yet because the containers that hold the laser powders did not come with it or the the powders. I thought I was getting a good deal to buy a color laser printer under $100.00 but the powders are going to cost over $300.00 and the containers that hold them are over $300.00 so my $100.00 went to over $700.00. Be sure to do your research before you buy so you know the full story about the product and what it includes or in my case what is not included. Thanks for asking though.

This is an excellent color laser printer. The quality of the prints are above reproach. However, don't let the low price fool you. You will spend nearly the price of the printer (or more!) for the 4 toner cartridges! You're better off getting the next model up that comes with the cartridge for only $100 more or less depending upon where you make your purchase.

I've had 2 of these great printers. They make good quality color copies. I've had mine just over a year, and the quality is still going strong. Buy only Genuine cartridges, anthing else, including refills and the print quality goes way down.
Be sure to use a good USB cable, as a cheap cable can cause the color to be off or cause streaks.
Be sure to see my guide, in my 'reviews and guides' section on how to extend your ink. You'll add several hundred copies to your toner cartridge life.
Its like having your own color copier, at a fraction of the price. Because its TONER and not ink, you get a really professional look to your color documents and photos.

We purchased this color laser printer thinking it would be much faster and have better print quality than our old ink jet machine, but the photo quality is not as good as we thought it would be, plus we have been going through the toner much more quickly that we would have assumed. When a color toner costs $74-83 each, we expected it to last a while.
