Setup was trivial, on-screen menus are intuitive, no dead pixels, even lighting and color across the whole screen and from any angle. When I first set it up it was actually too bright - we should all have such problems with our monitors - but that took less than a minute to fix. I'm very pleased to have such a nice IPS panel at a price competitive with TN panels I could buy elsewhere.
I bought this monitor to do demanding image editing work while operating on a tight budget. To get more monitor, I'd have had to spend several times as much. The HP LP2065 stands out from many monitors in its price range, offering a true S-IPS panel (be careful - other companies are quietly putting cheaper panel types in their monitors even if they initially advertised S-IPS panels) along with 2 DVI and 2 VGA inputs. The monitor has the ability to rotate 90 degrees, changing the display to a vertical orientation that's perfect for portrait-orientation photo work or reading long documents / web pages without so much scrolling. I use hardware calibration tools to get my colors just right, and the monitor seems to take calibration well. Most users would be perfectly happy with the display right out of the box, and for general office/game/internet use it'd be perfectly fine with little to no adjustment. On-screen controls are easy to use without being too limited, and to top it all off the unit looks nice just sitting there even when it's turned off. Overall, this is a very good value for the price.
Great Monitor, I was able to set it up without any problems. I use a Spyder 2 to calibrate the monitor and the colors are great. I am a photographer and use Photoshop CS 3 and this monitor works great for me. I would highly recommend this monitor.
I have been wanting to get a larger monitor to see all the E-Bay deals better! I shopped around, read reviews, went to local stores, and this seller was still a better deal ever with shipping! I received the monitor fast with a great installation booklet! I would highly recommend!
