I have been using the HP 15 black ink cartridges for several years. Even though they are smaller in size compared to the cartridges for newer printers, they seem to print more pages per cartridge. They work great in my old reliable HP 840 deskjet printer.
Since the HP 15 ink cartridge is hard to find locally, I buy mine from eBay sellers. So far, I have never received a bad cartridge even when they are outdated, but I only buy the original HP cartridges.
