So why would you want one, well first of all to back up your OEM software into a drive letter that is not "C". So if you have a problem you can simply reinstall from the drive letter you assigned to the hard drive and almost instantly your back up running.

This is a great hard drive to have, just eject from the computer store is away or on the move to another plug into the usb port easy copy. Store it in the computer or in a save place. Great to have.

I am now operating a HP e91180t with a intel i7 920 processor state of the art computer. Since 1995 I have used nothing but HP Printers with exceptional durability. Since the above purchase, of the HP e91180t, I have matched (added) several components, using only HP items, plus the HP media 320GB HDD.
I have to give HP a A+++ for there products .... I do most of my purchasing thru Ebay & found the best prices for a name brand are HP items, etc. HP is the BEST choice ALL around!

I tried to install it but I could not get my computer recognize it. I think most of the time these are very good. I just got a bad one. I am using a Toshiba 320gb external HD now and it is perfect.

Wanted this for a backup of the whole drive of a laptop computer. It is doing the job very well. Easy to set up for someone who didn't want to mess with a hard setup. Easy is good.
