Hewlett Packard Deskjet 450cbi InkJet Printer

Just returned from a vacation where I took my clothes, my laptop and even this printer! (Remember the days before computers when you took a REAL vacation?) Anyway, this little printer was just the ticket. Literally it saved us a bunch of money being able to buy our theme park tickets online and print the tickets before going to the park. It was also a big help when we changed courses and could print out new Mapquest directions. It isn't the fastest printer out there, but is ideal for travel. It can be used with the battery sitting beside the pool - no outlet required!! Excellent buy for the money.

Very good printing quality. Size is very good for protability.
I recoment getting the battery if you travel.
I have 5 different printers and I like the ease of taking it with when I am our od the office or on the road and need hard copys of files.

I have now bought three for the office and can't understand the negative reviews. I think those that are not working well need some service. HP always "upgrades" models and I don't believe the 460 was created because the 450 isn't working, or doesn't work properly. I LOVE THESE LITTLE PRINTERS.

I have 2 of these and never had issues with them in the past 3 years - the only issue i know of is that one must use heave white paper and not the cheap copier paper - this will lead to issues with the paper not being sucked into the machine - the feeding mechanism is very sensitive.

I love the fact that there is a built-in envelope feeder and the battery works for hours. The cartridges are expensive but they do last a long time too - I typically change the settings to print in b&w only to save on color.

Compact and not bulky. Easy to use and set up. I am really pleased with this purchase. The 460 seems to be the same as the 450. I would recommend this for the traveler both business and personal use

I need a portable office, and bought the HP 450cbi InkJet Printer for two reasons. First, on Ebay the price was right. The printer I have is rebuilt, and it cost me about one-third of the purchase price for a new one. Secondly, I have had other portable printers, and the HP ink cartridges last longer and are sufficiently rugged to refill at least a couple of times. The one disadvantage on my particular printer is that the paper feed rollers don't always advance the paper sufficiently to print. When this happens, one has to start over and hope for the best. Ink quality is very good. Printer speed is slow, but it does get the job done. The size of the printer is comparatively large, but it does fit in my computer bag.

I ordered this printer for specific purpose (for use with a laptop computer) and it was perfect for that purpose. It is not a printer for everyday needs, but it is portable and effiencient.
