Hewlett Packard Deskjet 3915 InkJet Printer

This is a great basic color inkjet printer for those who don't need all of the additional scanning / faxing / media card / etc... The only complaint I have is the HP software seems to be a bit excessive (I think it needs over 50 Meg hard drive space) for just being a basic color inkjet printer. I would have given it 5/5 if the software had been more efficient.

Considering the price, this printer does a good job. I primarily use my printer for printing ebay invoices & small home publishing projects (cards, photos, etc)...The ink cartridges are cheap (around $15.00 at the office supply store) however, they are small & don't last too long. On DRAFT quality, B&W printing I would say I get about 150 to 200 pages from the B&W cartridge--I basically only print ebay invoices & shipping slips. There is little warning the ink is going to go completely dry, so i recommend having an extra cartidge on hand. This printer also has difficulty feeding specialty papers such as business cards...if you plan on doing any of this kind of printing I'd recommend a better printer--I've probably wasted as much expensive paper as I would have spent on a better model printer! I can't complain, it's a basic, cheap printer.

I bought this printer to use in conjunction with my laptop. It is perfect for travel and works perfectly everytime! =] Very cost effective!

I just needed a simple printer to print documents from school, like syllabus', homework assignments, etc. This printer is very fast and has a good print quality for the price. If you just need a simple at home printer this one is for you. Have printed black and white and color documents and all have turned out excellent. The print outs are the exact color as seen on computer screen and they are NOT fuzzy at all. Excellent buy for the money.

Also compared to older printers it is very small. Even when unfolded to print it doesn't take up very much space at all. It is approximately 2 feet long, and 8 inches wide and 6 inches tall..while folded. Unfolded it is about 11 inches wide. Perfect for a small computer desk or for use with a lap top. If you don't need a fax machine, copier, or scanner..this printer is perfect.

I have always had HP printers and have great luck with them. Have one right now that I have had for 7 years and it is still going strong. The computer was also 7 years old so I gave it to my brother to play games on, etc. The computer didn't connect to the internet very well..was way to slow for internet classes. If it wasn't for that I would still have the printer. I gave him the computer, printer, and all accessories because I bought all new. The ink cartridges for that printer was almost $40.00 for one black ink cartridge. Great job again HP.

Also I have printed 16 full pages so far and have barely made a dent in the black ink. Haven't used any amount of noticable color ink with the little bit of color that was on the pages.

Printer cartridges off of the hp website are $29.99 for the combo pack of 1 black and 1 color ink cartridge. Very cheap compared to other printers. They also include free shipping when you buy ink cartridges or other printing supplies. At Wal Mart it is about $33.00 for the combo pack. (in case you need the ink RIGHT NOW)

For a inexpensive printer it does a great job. Pictures printed on it are very impressive. We printed some pictures off a email and they were great. If you are looking for a cheaply priced printer you cant go wrong with the HP Desk Jet 3915.

I needed this for when I travel with my job, it's small and lightweight but efficient enough to meet my needs.

I love this product because its works perfectly and give me the best results.
In all my purchases I bougth this mark and I will buy again in again.

A quality product at a bargain price. Simple to install and operate. Reasonable print speed and quality printing. Nice and usable extra programs included. This is my second HP Deskjet 3915 Printer. I enjoyed it so much I got another one. Highly recommended

We are very pleased with this printer for the purpose that we purchased it.

This is the 2nd 3915HP we've purchased because we knew we liked the 1st one. The purpose was for a laptop computer that we take on trips but we also use it at home for a 2nd printer/laptop. We gave the 1st one to our daughter and her husband, so the printer went with the laptop.

Our laptop has the new Vista operating system and we called Hewlett Packard to get them to help us because the printer didn't have capabilities for the Vista. They installed the software that was needed (downloaded). We were on the phone with them for 2 hours but they stayed with it until the printer was working perfectly with our laptop. We were very impressed.

We use it specifically to print short printings and also for confirmation pages when we pay a bill online. It has good color and good character definition. Good purchase for the money.

Nothing fancy, does the job, and the ink is the lowest cost I've found.
Definitely a good buy.

The only minor problem was the included software. I have XP, and you need to have the printer OFF to install the software, as XP Plug & Play will conflict with the CD software. Updating the software also took quite of bit of time. I'll probably un-install everything except for the solution center, as that is the only application that is really needed.

The other minor problem was the power chord has a square box power supply at the plug in socket, which needs more room than an ordinary plug. A poor design where electrical outlet space is at a premium.

Bottom line, great printer at a great price, both for the printer and the ink.
Minor imperfections as described above, would not stop me from buying another one

This is a very sleak and compact printer that readlly should do more than it does. While the size of the printer is about that of other HP printers, it's capability lacks. It's made out of the cheapest plastic that's known to man and the ink refills are really hard to find. If you buy one without the cartridges you better plan on having to order them from HP. The printer prints slower than most printers I've seen and it's photo making capability is only 4X6 inch prints. Otherwise, it's an OK printer if you need one in a pinch, but there are many much better ones that you could spend your money on.

This was purchased for my son in NYC. His apartment, bedroon is the size of a broom closet, so size was an issue here. The printer was bought new and works great, the size is perfect. He won't have to sleep in the hall now.

FIRST OFF, I LOVED THE PRICE OF THIS HP DESKJET PRINTER. I knew it was just a basic small printer, but it includes a great set of software, and was extremely easy to set up.
