We are only moderately computer savvy but wanted and have been wanting a device for my wife to use for up to date, portable drug reference guides, which can be down loaded to hand held units like this. She also has been wanting a portable digital photo album and an mp3 player for her jogging.
We have owned it for a week and love it, to be truthful I have spent many frustrating hour solving some problems all of which, have been user induced and might I add, resolved.
It seems to be an excellent tool for all of our needs, its capability of reading high capacity SD cards is an excellent source for almost unlimited storage in the future.
I don't believe a more user friendly system can be produced.
It's compact, robust, clear screen, ample preloaded software to begin with.
So far we love it.
You will need head phones for the music, or be in a very quiet environment, it has blue tooth connectivity that we use for the head phones.

I have owned just about every PDA built by HP, Jornadas 548,620,680,690,720,728, and most recently a HX4700. I have found in the two weeks I have owned this Ipaq 111 I'm convinced this Ipaq is perfection in size & features. It is by far the fastest PDA I have ever used, and though I was tempted to buy the 211 I'm now convinced that I made the right choice. The 802.11g wifi and pocket Explorer 6 surf the web very well! I use the bluetooth in combination with Pharos' Osita software and a Pharos Bluetooth GPS recieved and have been very satisfied. I have moved files & songs between the Ipaq and my cell phone using the bluetooth as well. My son had a set of the Motorola S9 bluetooth headphones so I tried them out also using the bluetooth connection, I ordered myself a set of S9's immediatly! The SDHC slot works perfectly for storage, I'm using a Sandisk Extreme III SDHC card and access times seem to be really quick. The Ipaq 111 works fine as an MP3 / video player for my taste. The only thing I miss is the Ipaq audio equalizer from the HX4700. Battery run time seems to be fantastic even with the screen set at full brightness. Best of all, I can drop it in my shirt pocket! Very light-weight unit! I recently tried a Palm Lifedrive and this Ipaq 111 leaves the Palm unit in the dust. Also did I mention the price? The Ipaq 111's VALUE is unequalled in any other PDA!

I wanted all the features of a notebook but small enough to carry with me anywhere and not have to buy any additional services from Cellular providers. The Ipaq 111 provided most of the features I wanted at a great price. The battery lasts for very long time, even with WiFi enabled. If you get one install Skype for calling and a divx player and maybe IFonz if you like the Iphone layout. GooglePhotography.com

This is my first PDA and I am very pleased with it. I am a traveling nurse and it has been invaluable for leaving myself voice or typed notes on the go. It was very easy to set up and I received a Bluetooth iGo Ultra Slim keyboard with it which is awsome for setting up at a coffee shop and getting charting done. I had a little trouble with getting to know the interface. It's not *quite* like a computer so it's not as intuitive and is why I couldn't give a full "excellent" rating. But, that's a minor quibble. I've not had too much experience with getting online as I am not always in a place with free wi-fi access when I need it (lots of secured access, just not free ones I can get onto.) Excellent ability to interface with my home and work computer for downloading later. Battery holds up and I love the way the USB cable doubles for both computer use and as a power source cord!! Wish I'd thought of that! All together, a great little gadget for this little Gadget Girl! :-D Highly recommended!!

I use this for tuning pianos. I purchased the software for it this month and just love it! It's unbelievable how accurate this program is! I can do concert tunings with it or just customers homes.

This is just a good classic pocket pc. It has a very goog balance of features for the price. It works very well and so far I have had no problems. I just needed a PDA for contacts and calendar but this does a alot more that I will be able to expand into. Would definitely recommend.

Very light-weight handheld that is able to connect to internet (have to have wireless network to connect to like your internet service). SD card (not included) that gives you unlimited programs to load so as to not bog down your memory.
It definately is not the end all for ipaqs, but it will be adequate for school programs. I bid on this item the day before I started nursing school. When I got to school the next morning I was informed that the school would be providing the students with PDA's since they had received a grant through a scholastic program. I couldn't afford to pay for something I wasn't going to use, since I am a full time student, so I wrote these guys inreguards to the predicament. They gladly canceled my order and I simply paid them a $5.00 processind fee......easy peasy!! They really helped me out with my predicament....thanks again guys!!

I've had the 111 for a few years now. When I finally sat on mine and broke the screen, I compared it to the newer models out there and opted to just replace my old one. With the bluetooth, the Wi-fi, and the 32Gig SDHC card it's better than any iTouch and iPod out there. :o)

I bought this pda to replace an older version my wife used as a nurse practitioner to look up drug interactions and with Epocrates software. The new one HP 111 is lighter, faster and the screen is easier to read. Very happy with the product.

I bought the HP iPAQ 111 approximately amonth ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive hanheld device. It has a Marvell PXA310, 624 MHz CPU, 64 MB SDRAM main memory for running applications and 256 MB flash ROM - more than enough for such type of devices. For communication it has: Integrated WiFi 802.11 b/g with WPA2 security and Integrated Bluetooth v2.0 with EDR1. The screen is 3.5" transflective TFT RGB color 240 x 320 pixel touch kind with LED backlight. So, the graphics is very clear and bright. For expansion it has: Mini-USB 2.0 client for sync/data/charge, SDIO high-capacity card slot. Overall the device is great and very cheap for the price I bought. The only thing I didn't figure out is have to completely power it off. :) I recommend this device to all. It works great so far.

I wrote a review and Ebay lost the dam thing and now I can't delete this dam review thing so in my opion this review program has bugs and requires action. Spell check faulted out and lost review, suggest you develop a save draft subroutine similar to what Microsoft Outlook does.
The PDA works fine, has some draw backs in music quality and downloading programs but is a good business person tool.

I love this product. For the basic job, this product has almost replaced my laptop. This works great. There are many freewares for Windows mobile 6 such as games, calculators, and so on, which can be easily download and installed. I can also enjoy video and music. The quality of video is not super duper, but much better than what I had expected. This product has helped me a lot to be more organized. It would be even better if it had RAM in the range of 256MB or could be upgraded to that range. By and large, I am very happy with this product.

This Ipaq works just like my old one and I'm happy. I was surprised that when I got the unit, I found out that it was refurbished. The site mentioned that it was refurbished way down at the very end of the listing. I missed it. I'm still glad with the product and would use this vendor again.
