  Not that great!

It was written very "Sex in the city" style, but I found it disappointing. Someone recomended it to me ( I was a youth pastor) to let my youth girls read it- glad I didn't!

It could have been written in a more professional style so that it could be used as a teaching resource- but the shock value of the vulgarity I guess was more important!

Still as an adult the book was common sense. It was written for the women out there who need to have a picture drawn for them when I guy doesn't call you back- that they guy just isn't that into you.

It would even sell if women today weren't so worried about "getting" a man. If those women were happy with where they were, then everything would fall into place. Men can sense desparte, or "needy" women- that is what they don't find attractive!

He's Just Not that Into You, not exactly Dr. Phil.

I read this book before buying it for 2 young women I know who really needed some advice about men. While I found the advice funny and accurate and well written for most women, it assumes that all women are brought up in a sophisticated city environment. It also assumes that all young women for whom this book is aimed at are either having sex or are looking for sex. Though not really graphic by todays standards, some might be offended. So, if you are buying it for yourself or for a friend you need to know this. On the other hand, if this won't offend your senses or those of the person you are buying it for, I recommend it. Its a great laugh with great advice, though not exactly Dr. Phil!

This book was good, it was shorter than I'd like, but good. It was helpful, lots of good examples and was very to-the-point. I could keep reading this over and over!

I loved this book and have lent it to multiple friends. It's a thinking woman's bible about dating. If you are tired of being disappointed in love and dating, and with men, and you feel you have much to offer, but are getting ZERO in return, READ THIS. MEMORIZE IT. This is well written, funny, engaging and really valuable. It is about a paradigm shift to change your life. It turned me around, and I am so grateful. I don't waste my valuable time and energy on bullshit anymore!!!! And I could NOT BE MORE THRILLED!!!!!

Written from a male prospective, this is a excellent guide to a reality check for the dating woman. Don't spend time waiting for him to call or worse making up excuses for him why he doesn't. It's a reality check for any woman struggling with relationships that don't end well. Must read.

Indeed, this book does tell the truth and gives insight into relationships between men and women. Women needing to become clear about a specific male in their life should read this book. The message: If the relationship doesn feel right, it's not right.

An honest look at female self-esteem
Review created: 09/08/06

I was one of those women who continually made excuses for the way certain men in my life treated me. And then I read this book, and one image stuck with me: that a man would rather be trampled by elephants on fire than to look you in the eye and tell you that you're not The One. He's just not that into you. And that's why he promises to call and then doesn't. Learning to read the signs, learning when to move on and keeping your self-esteem high in the face of rejection is the overall purpose here: don't waste the pretty. I think the authors do a good job of realistically assessing the dance between the sexes when it comes to that strange ritual we call dating, but from both the female and male perspectives. This book is briskly paced, reads very quickly and it is frequently funny. I thought the chapter on cheating/adultery was a little too cut and dried. I have found that some situations are not so simple. Otherwise, I would recommend it to any woman who has ever wasted an afternoon waiting for that guy to call, but he never does. You know who you are. Don't waste the pretty.

This book is a must-read for all women, single, married, dating or otherwise. its a fabulous, comical, yet truthful account of our behaviors that make us miserable. Its also a no-excuses guide to men behavior too:) The best part however is the simple truth that we women deserve the best, and the best *IS* out there and worth waiting for. Highly recomended to all women!!

This book was not what I had expected it to be. There were some things I didn't agree with, but I guess everyone has their own opinion. It really puts things into perspective if you are in a difficult relationship and need a little advice from the opposite sex, but other than that this book is a read just for fun!

I LOVED this book- I truly appreciated it, because I think that exposes you to things that happen all the time, but never could figure out what is behind it. I purchased this book because my sister told me about it and that I had to get it. I read it in a matter of hours and it truly encouraged me not to waste my time for guys that are not that into me, and also appreciate it when that special guy does do the right things. Every woman should read it!

I heard good comments from many single women about this book, so I thought it might worth reading it - it was. The book is interesting and amusing, with many real examples, but one should not take it too serious and keep in mind, that there is no recipe for love and never will be... But many things are true and it might be hard to get confronted with them. However, I enjoyed reading the book and I would recommend it to love-troubled women, especially if you can get if for a good price.

  Awesome truth telling
Review created: 07/07/06

The thing I loved about this book is the truth that it tells. Women do come up with every excuse in the world about why he hasnt called, why he's not with her, and this book hopefully opens up some eyes!!
Its a frank discussion on if a man is into you, HE'S INTO YOU!!! He will call you, he will date you...fear, the unknown, busy schedule, working hard, being a student, having kids, parents dogs, the flu...none of those are acceptable as to why he's not calling you!
Shortly after I read this book, I dated two men, one right after the other...
the first was shy, scared, claimed he really liked me, wanted to be with me, yet never called. I took the advice of the book and ran.
Guy #2 was into me too- he called, we dated, there has never ever been a single moment in our relationship where I have doubted his feelings for me...he shows it because he's really into me.

ladies, please...read this book and dont cast it aside as nothing. Women everywhere should really look into this as the best advice they could receive. Dont let men play games!!

Loved it! A great read for all us ladies who aren't sure what a guy is really feeling about us when we're dating him. It is funny, poignant and sobering. You hate to admit it while reading the letters, but you'll say "hmmm, yup that's me, and yup he's not worth another minute".

The book: He's Just Not That into You by Greg Behrendt, Liz Tuccillo is truly a fantastic book, one that I recommend to all women to read at least once. It is written in such a way that even if your life seems too busy to sit down to read a book, this is one you can pick up and read a page or two per sitting and get a lot out of it. The messages here are very useful, very helpful and very easy to understand. This book is filled with a lot of information with many tips and lessons. I really like this book because it answers so many questions. I wish this book were around many years ago. It sure would have helped to avoid much heartbreak. In my opinion it is worth 5-stars. Thank you for listening. Best Wishes. … Dreams-N-Treasures.

  What A Life Changer!!!
Review created: 04/19/06

I finally got it! My ex boyfriends just weren't that into me. I wish this book was written ten years ago, wow, would I have saved myself a lot of unwanted heartache. It's very simple ladies: if he doesn't call, he's always away on business, he's rude, he doesn't give up his other women, or he seems to only call when he wants sex, guess what "He's Just Not That Into You!"

This is my new dating Bible, this book along with The Rules is the perfect self help combo pack. I can now easily weed out the dating wheat from the dating chaff, much earlier than before. The author Greg Behrendt was one of the writers on Sex In The City and he's a stand up comic. So the book is informative and a fun read. I laughed out loud more than once. A few of the examples sent in by the women are so sad and downright degrading, that it made me feel like a dating genious. A must have for every single woman.

Every Single Woman Should Read This Book
Review created: 02/11/06

Although I am single, I am many years older than the author and thought it would probably not be a book applicable to my life. Ha! I got a big surprise. I had been dating a man for a year - met him through an internet dating service and though I really cared for him, things just didn't seem to be working out. When I read this book, I realized my guy was "just not that into me." Like half the women in America, I was making excuses for this man, telling myself that things would get better if I just gave it a chance. I broke up with him right after reading this book because I realized that although he is good, kind, and a nice person (as I am also) I just wasn't the person for him. Because I was final able to recognize the truth of our relationship I saved myself a whole lot of heartache. All women should read this book because we are so invested in nurturing relationships that we can't see when one is dead. Buy this, give it to all your girlfriends, and read it more than once.

A good friend of mine recommended this book to me over two years ago... a MALE friend!

I was dating a guy who never called me, would email maybe once a week or two and even though he lives just 20 miles from me, he seldom came to see me. He was always full of lame excuses and apologies. (he was busy with work, busy with school, not feeling well, bad traffic out, blah, blah, blah) I would hang on because when we were together he was extremely attentive, looked at me as if no other women existed and made me feel wonderful, then he would leave... and just be gone.

My friend told me I really needed to read this book and boy, was he right. I wish now I had not wasted two long years before doing so. This book has made a huge difference in my way of thinking and in my choices concerning men I meet and date. After reading this book, I immediately was able to let go of someone who was "Just not that into me" and became available to someone who was. I am now happy and having a wonderful time with a man who IS into me! He calls me every day or two, we talk for hours at a time, we see each other almost every weekend and we live three times further apart then that loser and I.

Ladies, don't wait as long as I did. If a man doesn't call when he says he will, doesn't show up when he says he will, never shows any real interest in you when you are apart, never sends a card or brings you a flower... Read this book because, HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU! (and I don't care how good the sex is, its just not worth the rest of his B.S.)

Entertaining book filled with good advice every woman needs to hear. I highly recommend this for every woman, young or old.
