Hermie & Friends - A Fruitcake Christmas (DVD, 2005)

I use these videos in a kindergarden class at a private Christian school.
The children learn many good character traits from these. They also follow in line with books by the same people. Good, clean, and high quality. The bugs in the video are very cute and the children relate to their characters.

The true meaning of Christmas shines through in this very charming tale of a coveted fruitcake stolen by two grouchy old cockroaches. With undertones of "A Christmas Carole" and "How The Grinch Stole Christmas", Hermie and Friends deliever where the others fall short reminding us (and the cockroaches too!) that God has given all of us a gift when He sent us His son as our Savior. This is a wonderful addition to any Christmas collection with a very important message!

Wanted it for my nephews. I like to get things with a great deal.

These Hermie videos are absolutely wonderful lessons in life for children to watch, instead of all the junk that is on television. My children (ages 3 and 1) love these videos, and when I saw that there was a Christmas one, I just knew I had to get it....and we were not disappointed! It will continue to be one of their favorite holiday shows every year I am sure.

My "downs" grandson age 5 has discovered Hermie and Friends. He enjoys watching them. There are few DVD's he actually sits to watch.

This is a delightful Christmas tale. We watched it on a big screen with our grade 1-5 kids at church as part of our "Happy Birthday, Jesus" celebration. It was fun for the adults as well as the kids. The kids laughed really hard at the very beginning when Hermie went sliding over the snow. Tim Conway is wonderful as the voice of Hermie and Don Knotts as Wormie. Max Lucado manages to impart lessons on how to treat each other the way God wants us to without being too "preachy" to kids.

My grandson loves veggie tales and I figured he would love Hermie and friends. He does. I won't let him watch most of the cartoons they have on tv now days. So these movies help when he does want to watch them, he has a good cartoon to watch. He is 3 1/2 years old. Thank you
