It is based in the late 1100's, where the Norman's and the Irish are in war for territory & power. Patrick MacEgan, Irish king, is forced into marriage to a Norman lady for the good of his Irish people. Patrick has strong harsh feelings where the Normans are concerned since the Normans are holding his people hostage & are also responsible for his brothers death. During this book, you will enjoy the tug of war between Patrick & his innocent & faithful wife. She will try to convince him to accept her as his true queen of his people & his true love of his life. I really enjoyed this book and the adventure of the story.
