Hell Bent For Leather-Judas Priest
Review created: 12/04/06(updated 01/07/07)
Even though the album came out in 1979, it is as relevant to heavy metal today as it was back then. Many bands have claimed to be metal but these guys were the true innovators of the sound and the look. The nu-metal of today cannot withstand the popularity of the old school, so don't even try. Everyone has purchased music with the idea that there are a few good songs that they like but they've come to expect that not every song is going to be good. Not the case with Hell Bent For Leather, every song is outstanding. You can't get better than Priest, not when you have Rob Halford on vocals and of course the exceptional guitars of KK Downing and Glenn Tipton. This CD is perfect, one of their finest. Superb in the every sense of the word.
