Heavenly Creatures (DVD, 2002, Uncut Version)

Heavenly Creatures directed by Peter Jackson, was one of the most stunning movies I have seen. It was quite a moving story about love, hate, and murder. The notorious Parker and Hulme murder case is the center of the movie Heavenly Creatures.
The movie is really quite graphic. The ending scene is terrible to watch, I had to shield my eyes from the sight.

This is Jackson's best work!
I recommend this movie, completely!

I love this movie...it is in fact a true story. very, very disturbing. These poor girls were so outcast by others that the relationship they formed was one based on fantasy.A great movie to learn about the case.

--except for the minor detail that it is true.

Extreme care in making gritty stuff gritty, ugly stuff ugly, pretty stuff pretty, and opening up "pathways" into the hearts, minds, and souls of the characters, this is a nasty, strong, and amazing movie about something that really happened, and that still boggles the mind.

There are no easy answers in real life, not a "happy Hollywood ending" in sight, and this movie follows real life, then delivers more insight than most people can handle.

Worth the time.

This was a good movie overall--very interesting. Kate Winslet is a fantastic actress as usual, even at her young age in this film. The plot is somewhat odd, and it was rather eerie to learn that it was based upon a true story. Definitely a memorable movie.
