Heaven by Randy Alcorn (2004, Hardcover)

This book answers all the questions you may have ever had , and even ones you never even thought about, on HEAVEN! And Randy bases it all on Bible scripture. I have bought several copies and given them to friends who have lost loved ones. I got my first copy after a very good friend of mine died suddenly, and I was seeking answers and peace. This book gave me what I needed. I even donated one copy to our local library in her memory. I have been a Christian all my life, but I have never read such an in depth book on the subject of heaven. I sure am looking forward to the real place now!

I bought the book Heaven by Randy Alcorn on the advise of my cousin. I have been reading for over 50 years, and this is one of the BEST books I have ever read. Mr. Alcorn uses bible scripture to back up everything he writes. AND his insight into what heaven will be like, is wonderful, easy to read, and inspiring. This book makes you realize that this present world is not our real home,,, and our heavenly home will be more beautiful than anything we can imagine. Wonder about your pets? Mr. Alcorn will explain even that.

This is the most comprehensive, well-written book on Heaven that I've ever read. It is life-changing! I will never view the hereafter the same having read Randy Alcorn's book.
I would higly recommend it to all those even remotely interested in going to Heaven, and especially to those who think that Heaven is a place where disembodied spirits travel from cloud to cloud playing a harp!
Although the book is written primarily for those who profess to be Christians it would be interesting to those who don't profess faith.

"Heaven" is the first book that I have seen devoted specifically to the subject of where Christian's hope to spend eternity. For a place that many see as their eternal home their is suprisingly little information to be found out there.

Randy Alcorn does a wonderful job of portraying what Heaven might actually be like. He uses the scriptures extensively to support his views and makes a convincing case.

Whether you ultimately agree with him or not "Heaven" should certainly be an interesting read and open your eyes to ideas that may be new.

I enjoyed the book very much. It was well written and gave insight into the questions a person has about heaven. It also gave scripture so it could be followed up by checking the bible and coming to your own conclusion. It also was comforting and gave a peace about what to look forward to as long as you belong to Jesus and know him as your Savior. He was also very honest about this being his conclusions and sharing it with others thru his book. I bought it because I wanted to know more about heaven my eternal home and I always check it with God's Word.

I liked how the book encouraged me to set my mind on things above not on things of earth. It made it easier to see what the Bible says heaven is like. I haven't found many other books that are so detailed, and so in line with scripture, about Heaven. It was very easy to read. I enjoyed it.

I bought it because I wanted to know more what to expect in heaven, and I needed inspiration to keep on plugging down here. I wasn't disappointed! I like how thorough the book is, how the author backs up his thoughts with scripture, and I love how he uses his imagination! A delightful book!

I bought this book after my husband passed away about 2 months ago, I was looking for comfort and I had so many questions. The book is an excellent way to make you desire to go to heaven and be in in God's kingdom. Nothing here on earth compares to the beautiful things that God has created for us in Heaven. The book not only tells you what it would be like when we go to Heaven but it also gives you passages from the Bible that supports what Randy Alcorn is talking about. You'll love it!

I learned things I never knew. It really helps you understand more about Heaven. And great for a study book for a group of people. Every one should read.

The book is thought provoking. It provides good information about heaven though the author recognizes that he may be wrong in a couple of points in the book.

I bought it to use as a pastor and teacher in my Sunday School class. It has brought good discussion on the issues that we have looked at so far. We have much yet to do.

I appreciate and personally enjoy the insights of the author. He has made it so that I am now looking even more forward to the kingdom of Christ. I appreciate as well the comprehensive nature of this book. It has helped even with some of the questions about heaven that I have recieved over the years as a pastor.

Randy Alcorn has excelled in this work that is one of depth yet understandable by the layperson.

Am re-reading this book now. A real life-changer for me, especially after being around so many "christo-platonist" with their well-meaning, yet un- scripturally based opinions. This book systematically (and entertainingly) discusses many topics related to Heaven, carefully using scripture for any and all insights and opinions. Randy Alcorn has tied up so many lose ends regarding Heaven and compiled a coherent, thought-provoking, life-changing book that is as easy to read as it is hard to put down. He makes no outrageous claims as he logically explains what should be obvious to a Bible believer, yet has been misrepresented by too many well-meaning, uninformed expositors.
I buy copies to give away to friends. It is THAT good!!

A friend & I are using this book to teach a Sunday School class - it is, without a doubt, one of my favorite books. Randy is so careful to base his conclusions on Scripture - and even says "even if I'm wrong about some of this, it will even be better than I imagine" - (not an exact quote, but close). His excitement about our eternal Home and the God who created it for us is contagious. If you are debating about purchasing this, rest assured it is exciting, motivating, and convicting, and now that I've read it, I can't wait to get HOME!

Excellent book on the subject of Heaven. Very Biblically documented. I am very impressed. Well worth the read.

This book honestly answered all questions I have pondered during my life about heaven. This book gave biblical answers to everything instead of an authors point of view! I encourage everyone to buy this book, its worth every penny!!

I was given this book by my oldest daughter because I lost my son 5 years ago, he was 43. Now my youngest daughter is fighting cancer, In reading this book I realized that she would get great comfort from it, so I have ordered this copy for her to read and keep. Bought for mother-in-law who just lost her husband. Book recommended by her pastor. She seemed to derive some comfort from it.

From what others have told me about this book,it is very good. I myself have not read the book,because the seller robbed me of my money and never sent any item. I am not the only one that was taken by this seller. He has robbed many people of there money. I have reported it to paypal,and of course they sided with me,but could not get any money back.
