The Heat by Needtobreathe (CD, Aug-2007, Word Entertainment)

I like this style of music...good message all about JESUS. The music has a great beat and is upbeat. it's nice to wake-up to or drive to. I would buy the other cd's put out by Needtobreathe.

For someone who has never listened to Christian rock and was worried that this CD would not appeal to her, I've got to admit I love this CD! It's excellent, not preaching, very uplifting music. I bought it because of the song that was in the movie PS I Love You, and I am not disappointed.

Needtobreathe has a great energy about them, and didn't fail to show this through The Heat, their best album yet. Daylight was a fabulous first album, but "The Heat," being a more honest, transparent album, really propelled the group from being just another band. The blend of lighthearted, upbeat tempos and deep, soulful lyrics express the talent and value of this group.

You know how you get a cd for one particular song and that is the only good song on the cd? Well that is not the case with this cd. The whole cd is really good.
I heard 2 of their songs on a Christian radio station. Love the lead singers voice, he sounds like the singer in "red hot chili peppers". Great songs,great lyrics. Very parent friendly if you want your kids to listen to "cool" music with appropriate language, and lyrics, this is a great CD. 1 song is truly "Christian", the rest are just great!!

The best group to hit the scene in a decade. Their music is brilliant. They are a Christian group, and have a sound better than anything I can find today. Catch them on tour while you can, they're going to be huge very soon.

There are a few excellent songs, full of the blues sound (which I love), and The Truth (which is vital) on this CD. There are other songs that had a different sound and were fair. I recommend this CD just for the few excellent songs, they are worth the whole CD. Most CD's aren't jam packed with excellent music, but have some good songs. This is better 3 - 4 excellent songs on this CD.

For some reason these guys pretty much flopped their sophmore release. Their Alternative guitar/piano heavy style that reigned on Daylight (their first release) is not as strong, especially guitar wise. I am not against all blues, folk music but on The Heat, it's pretty cold. The 14 tracks all seem to similar to each other and the harmonica injections are too cliche. Also the vocals are a wee bit too over done, the singer's voice sounds alot better when he sings strongly instead of "breathly". So buy this if it's cheap, but don't expect to enjoy it quite as much as their first album.

needtobreathe is an incredible band with incredible music. their songs our catchy and they have some very God-honoring lyrics

I like the group Needtobreathe. This CD contains many excellent songs sung by the group. It gives me hours of great pleasure.

I heard the "Lay 'Em Down" on the radio and I just had to have more, and this first CD delivered better than I had thought possible! This band is phenomenal! You will not be disappointed!

I love needtobreath they are my favorite christian group. I highly recomend checking this group out. I really loved the idea that they put all the words in the cd cover. Most bands no longer do that. That makes it so much easier to learn the lyrics that way.

This Cd is great. I love every song on it. It is very upbeat and has wonderful lyrics. I love the band, they have awesome talent as well. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone looking for a new Cd that is positive and yet can have you singing along. Each song is unique and the lyrics are elaborate and deep. They are a Christian band and they allow the listener to appreciate life and all the qwerks of relationships and commitments. It is a breath of fresh air and leaves me still singing long after the music is turned off. Great purchase, and Great Band.

Needtobreathe has successfully mixed acoustic blues with soul, and added a rock rhythms to create their very unique Worship style. Every song is a powerfufl Worship song that parents can allow the youngsters to listen to without any worry.

A couple of the songs have hit mainstream Christian radio, but every track is "radio-worthy", in my opinion. The tunes and percussion are catchy and the lyrics definitely tell the Message.

This is a CD that is on my "heavy rotation" in my car. I listen to it as much as Jars, Third Day and Newsboys.

I absolutely love this album by Needtobreathe. I had known of them before, but when I really came to love them was when I saw them at a concert at the House of Blues in Chicago with David Cook. They were absolutely phenomenal live, and this album was a must have for me. I love the bluesy voice of the lead singer, and I would recommend this Cd to ANYONE!

Bought this after hearing a song on Youtube. I found the whole album fantastic. There is not one song that I pass over, they're all good. I have both their albums and can't wait for the third. Even went to see them in Concert in Boston, nice people who appreciate their fans.
