Heart - Dreamboat Annie Live (DVD, 2007)

I love these ladies. Ann and Nancy are an institution unto themselves.
The perfect perfomances Heart puts on can not be out done. This DVD shows that regardless of age and obvious other factors that make Heart out of reach for reality TV darlings, they still can kick the snot out of any body that calls themselves pop star contenders. True talent and ability can not be faked. Ann and Nancy are the real deal and always will be. Beauty is in the ear of the listener and Heart truly captures the heart of any real music fan. Buy this DVD, you won't be sorry.

Ann Wilson is an awesome vocalist. Nancy's a little rusty or maybe tendenittus. Lead guitar is a hot player but not for this heartfelt music which he doesn't fit, lead tone is way too hot-Steve Via sound-for Heart. The drummer is solid but not poppin' on the rock tunes. Overall, a disappointment for an original first album Heart fan who now realizes the band lost its heart when the original members left the band. I'm sadly disappointed. Orignal concert footage in the early days ( Dog and Butterfly tour) would interest me alot more as would a reunion tour.

I was sooo hoping to see more video released on this group and finally a concert! Excellent in every way. Though it only covers the songs mainly from the Dog and Butterfly album it's just like listening to them 30 years ago! Everyone was excellent on each of the instruments and Ann's vocals were breath-taking as always. If your a fan of the early 80's rock....you've got to get this DVD concert! DVD has some cool features as well.
