The Heart of the Artist by Rory Noland (1999, Paperback)

This book is awesome! it's really inspirational and I fell that I've grown spiritually because of it. Reading this book is one of the best decisions I've ever made.

This book helps you understand your role as a artist serving God in your church or ministry. If you play in a band or sing it helps you to understand your feeling to work as one together serving God not as a individual. It will help you work out problems you all ready have and how to address them.

This is a must have for anyone in the arts ministries!!! I think it may be one of the best books I have ever read. And it is an easy read!

I like the book because it talks about real spiritual issues that artists in particular face. Things such as jealousy, envy, moodiness, wearing your emotions on your sleeves, being extremely talented and other non-artists elevating that, and working with other artists on teams.
I have yet to find a part of the book I don't like. I am about half-way through the book.
I decided to buy it because my sister who is a vocalist on a worship team reccomended it to me. Their team went through the book together. I am the worship leader at our church.
