I have long been a fan of Michael W, ever since his first album Project. Healing Rain his 18th album was released in 2004. This was Michael's first pop album since 1999, on the heels of his 2 extremely popular worship albums. I would say the theme of this CD is healing & restoration. Michael's fabulous vocals & signature keyboards will keep you singing along. The cd includes Here I Am, the title song Healing Rain, Live Forever, Hang On, Fly to the Moon Human Spark, We Can't Wait any Longer, I Am Love, Eagles Fly & All I want, all written by Smith. He does a fabulous rendition of Paul Simom's well known Bridge Over Troubled Waters. Although this is considered a pop not worship record, there is a Christian message in all the songs. Michael W Smith's work accounts for more than 12 million albums sold, 13 gold and five platinum records, over 40 Dove Awards(can you believe that over 40!), two Grammys and an American Music Award.
If you have been a fan of Michael W. in the past I am sure you will be inspired by & enjoy this as well. I highly recommend!

Healing Rain is an awesome CD about the power of God. Michael W. Smith is has a great voice and a desire to glorify God with his music. That's why I bought it, and why I love it!

Michael's music is innovative as always. The lyrics, however, are of less quality.
Michael has always farmed out his lyrics to others. In my opinion, his best cd was 'Freedom', which was completely instrumental.
Smith is a better pop star than a christian star. If you like innovative pop music, than buy this cd. If you are looking for a biblical message set to music, go elsewhere.

Excellent music, variety, lyrics. Good change from the Worship CD's. Gave the first CD I had to my brother so I had to replace it.

michael w. smith is one of the best christian singers & performers i so enjoy...so much passion, depth, love.
i purchased this cd because the 1 i had got misplaced.never found it.like the flashy red case it comes in.looks a little like a star slowly expanding into a full bloom!
