THIS WAS THE MONKEES SOUNDTRACK TO HEAD. THE CD HAS A COUPLE OF VERSIONS OF THE SAME SONGS. A VERSION OF CIRCLE SKY RECORDED LIVE BY THE MONKEES IN 1968, ONE OF THE FEW RECORDINGS OF THE MONKEES PERFORMING ALL THE MUSIC , ALONG WITH THE FILM VERSION USING STUDIO MUSCIANS . AND PETER SINGING LEAD ON HIS OWN CAN YOU DIG IT, INSTEAD OF THE MICKEY VERSION FOR THE MOVIE .
THE MOST UNUSUAL SOUND OF ALL THE MONKEE ALBUMS, A LOT OF MOVIE DIALOGUE IN BETWEEN THE FEW SONGS .BUT OVERALL WORTH IT FOR THE CIRCLE SKY LIVE VERSION.

I loved the cd. The songs were great. I decided to buy because, I have the movie already and wanted the songs from the movie. I played it quite often. Very greatful that I could find this cd on Ebay.

I am a huge Monkees fan. Some albums are better than others, though. I think Head is one of their best. Porpoise Song and As We Go Along are sheer genius. I also really like Circle Sky, Can You Dig It?, and Do I have To Do This All Over Again. I just wish there were more songs and less BS in between songs. All in all, a great album.
