Synopsis Sixteen-year-old Skye's life isn't fun and games--in fact, it's more work than any fun at all. Skye has to take care of her older brother, Sunny, who has Down Syndrome, because her mother works two jobs and is hardly ever at home. Because of her family obligations, Skye doesn't have much time for swimming, even though she's hoping to make it to the state meet with the team this year. To make matters worse, her boyfriend, Mike--whom her mother can't stand--demands a lot of her time and energy, and wants her to drop everything for him. Skye feels as if the pressures of her life are to demanding, but will she be able to do anything about them?
Skye, a high school junior, tries to find the time for both family obligations and personal interests, which include caring for her brother who has Down's Syndrome, dating her first boyfriend, and swimming competitively.
