He-Man and the Masters of the Universe - Box Set (DVD, 2008, Multi-Disc Set - Retail Exclusive)

I liked the old on better, but overall this series was done well as a stand alone series. My boys love them.

What a great deal. My son loved he-man growing up and now has 2 little boys who liked watching his. I order the set for the 4 year olds b-day he will love it. so glad the price was so reasonable. delivered in great shape and fast. Thank you

was a big fan of the show when I was a kid and very happy that I made this purchase. Did not realize there was a remake of the show. The Dvds arrived in perfect condition.

Fantastic re-imagination of the cartoons I watched as a kid. Re-introduced a fathers childhood awe to my child and was able to share his amazement at the heroes of this show.

The original series is a well loved, beautifully animated classic, and nothing will change that. Infact, it's probably best to pick up some those episodes on DVD as well. That said there were a lot of things about He-Man, the barbarian qualities of the comics and the rich back-story devised by Mattel, that never made it into that series. Try the moden update and you might learn something. The first few episodes make a rocky start, the characters are a bit off (Orko's too Jar Jar) and there might actually be *too much* action, but the series soon takes off with clever storytelling of it's own. Filmation had to go at great lengths to sanitize the world of He-Man since there was such a huge public bias angainst action cartoons of the time. The villains couldn't be too scary (remember that the Monster's weren't real in Scooby Doo, either) and He-Man's warrior edge was blunted. The writing largely made up for that but fans of only the cartoon never got to know that other side of He-Man. Until now. He-Man is still noble and mighty but his world is now a lot more dangerous and he needs his Heroic Warriors-- the Masters-- now more than ever. By a box set cheap and give it a try. You'll be hooked by the second disk!

The production is topnotch in all the ways. From sound Picture and Extras this box set from He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe is a great piece of work. The amount of details and extras it brings make it worth the purchase in every possible way.

But, its a shame the show had to end abruptly and we wont be able to get more out of this amazing retelling of such a classic story.

But the extras are worth it and the Deal I got for this set from the seller at ebay was an amazing "steal" if I don't say so myself.

If you think about getting this set, dont hesitate the only thing wrong, would be to hesitate to pick it up..and that to me is a crime of the worst level

and I will end this review with the infamous words of the titular character once I got to see the awesome thing this product/box set is.

Totally awesome. All three box sets for super cheap. It costs this much just to buy one! No disappointments at all. This made me super happy. Thanks a lot!

This set is fantastic. Also a great price to get the entire 2002 He-Man series. Much better than buying them individually.


This is a good show. Different from the old one which some people may not like. There are some new things which seem stolen from japanimation. Still great stories and a fun time.

The new animation is amazing if you ever watched the old school cartoons, I mean wow. I decided to buy this DVD set because well I love Heman.

The box set includes all the 2003 episodes. It is a gret buy for a He-Man fan and collector. The box is neatly designed and includes a rare collection of post cards.
