Steven Wright's album, I Have a Pony (2005), proves that a comedian can be funny, at times Hilarious, without using foul language. His mind-bending, random, topical humor is filled with flips that will occasionally require the listener to think about what he is saying.
Wright has been doing this style of stand-up for a long time. He has remained true to his dead-pan stage personna and delivery. His ability to string together a series of seemingly unrelated jokes, creating a cohesive routine, makes him one of the few GREAT, contemporary one-line comedians touring today.
Steven Wright may be an aquired taste, for some. Thoughtful listeners will enjoy the way he dissects the "ordinary" elements of life, challenging perceptions, to create delightfully funny jokes. Those who prefer an edgy, story-telling comedic style may wish to search elsewhere for their laughs.

Clean, Dry Super Funny!!!! Steven Wright comes up woth ordinary everyday things and puts a twist on them. No long stories with one punch line, he nails you with 10 a minute. I would buy any material from him. Although he might be a creepy neighbor!!

I would like to state that the comedian, Steven Wright, is one of the best comedians I have had the pleasure of watching. For that reason, I ordered the CD," I have a Pony" from an ebay seller called Fetchadisc. Much to my disappointment, Fetchadisc mailed me the wrong CD, and after several attempts at getting them to respond and send me the correct disc, and getting no replies at all, even bad ones, I had to give Fetchadisc a poor rating. It took the poor rating for Fetchadisc to respond. The response, to give me a negative rating and still not ship the correct disc. So, sorry Steven, I cannot rate this CD yet, but I will get it from a more reputable vendor than Fetchadisc and let you know my thoughts on it! For those of you wanting a definite change from the normal servings you get from comedians, check out Steven Wright. A guaranteed hit!

Steven Wright is a great one liner comedian that uses no four letter curse words.I am a long time fan.His sense of humor at times takes me a few seconds to understand his lines.He comes at you with his jokes one after the other.Here is an example of one of his jokes."If you wanted everthing in the world,where would you put it"?

Steven Wright is a strange individual with a twisted-yet-hilarious sense of humor. He goes beyond the ordinary. Thinking of ways to turn things every which way, like 'I bought some powdered water but I don't know what to add', 'I have a microwave fireplace....I can lay down in front of the fire for the evening in eight minutes', and 'I work for a factory where they make hydrants but you can't park anywhere near the place'. I've loved 'I Have a Pony' since I was a teenager. Had to buy the CD. I played the cassette tape to death.

FUNNIEST COMMEDIANwell I have not received the CD yet, but i did have it a while agao and misplaced it... he is one of the most funniest comedians i have come across, love it, if you have had a bad day sit and listen to this, it will have you in stitches.... love the man Gail

MYSTERY FUNNYIt is an absolute mystery, thinking about how Steven Wright thinks. He possesses one of the most brilliant and offbeat thought processes recorded. I've tried to imagine how he does it. Suffice it to say, if you aren't smart, you won't get all of this, and even if you ARE smart, these will make you laugh, and then make you think.

Steven Wright is so funny- this is a hilarious cd. There are only one or two gags on here that aren't appropriate for all ages- but our 10 and 12 year old sons weren't into it- I think Steven Wright is a specific type of comedian, and if you get it, you love it. I really like his material a lot.
