Have Gun Will Travel - The Complete Second Season (DVD, 2005, 6-Disc Set)

A great thinking man's western with plots as relevant today as they were when the series was filmed. This was one of my childhood favorites and I have always admired the talents of the actors and writers.

it is a wonderful dvd collection . one that i am proud to add to my other western collection . the people i dealt with was honest and a pleasure to do transactions with.

HAVE ONLY SEEN THE FIRST TWO DISC - LOVED THE FIRST SEASON AND THE SECOND LOOKS JUST AS GOOD - HAVE JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED THE THIRD SEASON TOO BUT HAVE NOT WATCHED ANY OF IT YET. GO PALADIN GO

It was my favorite show on Saturday night growing up. It has never been on reruns,so buying it was my only option.They are great and no commercials.

There were 5 really well written and acted westerns produced in the 1950's and early 1960's: Gunsmoke, Rawhide, Wanted Dead or Alive, Wagon Train and Have Gun Will Travel. Up until then, the westerns on tv were pretty much predictable. These 5 changed significantly the quality and standard to judge those that followed. Have Gun Will Travel ranks as one of the best. Richard Boone plays a complicated gentleman who lives in San Francisco and hires out his gun for just causes. There is a thread of morality in this gunfighter that is believable. Very enjoyable viewing.
