the quality of the dvd was very poor. It kept blinking off and on during the episodes. It was very hard to watch it and keep up with the story line when you knew that it would go out at any time.

An example of story telling at its finest. Paladin is the most fascinating character in the history of TV westerns an demonstrates a multi-faceted man who is able to achieve his purposes with brains and guile but can do the job when someone needs killing. Clever writing, solid direction and many fine young actors getting their start showed their potential in roles herein.

Can't go wrong with this one.

Fond memories of "Have Gun, Will Travel" have lasted over the forty four years since it disappeared. It never hit reruns, even on the specialty channels, so memories were all I had. I could not pass the opportunity one it hit DVD.

I won't say it was worth the wait, because 44 years is too long for almost anything, but it was worth the price and more. Now if they would only put out seasons 4-6, life would be great.

If you never saw this program, try it, you'll like it. Boone's, as Paladin, low key performance and the literate quality of the script AND the character make this a must. And after all, who ever heard of a gunslinger who quotes Cicero and often avoids, or tries to avoid, drawing his gun.

I bought this movie for my husband, he loves old westerns movies. I recived this movie very quickley and it was in excellent cond. This movie is great for someone who likes old western movies. My husband loves it.

Taking me down Memory Lane. Liked this show before we even owned a television! Had to watch at friends. Kind of "campy" but very enjoyable, a "gunslinger" with a conscience! Can't believe the number of actors I see in the episodes that became stars in their own right while Richard Boone sort of seemed to fade away. Worthwhile purchase.

Loved this show as a kid and you never see it in reruns so when I saw it was out on DVD I had to but it. This collection is great and shows why the show ran six years. Well written, acted and directed, some episodes were so far ahead of their time as to be relevant in today's time. These shows are a must watch for anyone who loves westerns, or just loves good television and story telling at it's best. There is more drama and story in each half hour episode than you find in most movies produced today. Richard Boone's portrayal is spot on. Boone has been and is one of America's most underrated actors. Well worth the investment in money and time to watch.
