  great book!
Review created: 03/08/07

This is a really great book about survival under seemingly impossible circumstances. A young boy, whose parents are going through a divorce, is stranded in the canadian wilderness with only a hatchet that was given to him as a silly present from his mother. The boy learns to survive because of his basic instincts, which parallel his survival of his parents divorce. This would be a great book for a middle school aged class because the action is non-stop and the protagonist is very relateable for this age-especially for young men. Definitely a great book!
