As an avid Harry Potter fan (and firm believer that the series is not just for children), I of course rushed out and bought Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince as soon as it hit the shelves.
J.K Rowling has an amazing way of bringing the reader into the story and making you feel like you are not just an observer, but a part of the action. You feel Harry's emotions, you want to help Ron, and you try and solve the mystery with Hermione. J.K Rowling is very much a talented and spellbinding author.
I have loved the entire series, but was slightyly dissapointed with this book. I found the beginning a bit drawn out and slow. The action really didn't start until near the end of the book. The ending leaves you hanging, which all good books do, and wondering what will be the conclusion in the final book. I wonder how Harry and his friend will solve the mystery of whether Snape is a good guy or a bad guy!
I always recommend Harry Potter to all readers, and do so again with this book. If you are expecting the action packed pages of the initial books in the series, you will be slightly let down, but it is still well worth your time to read it!
