What do I love about The Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling? Almost everything. I have now read 'Half-Blood Prince' several times but for some reason it was the book of all of the Harry Potter series that I had the most trouble getting immersed in. I'm not sure why at this point but I know that I'm not alone because several other people I talked to have mentioned the same experience. Having said that, once I read the book, I found it the most compelling of the entire series. In fact, as soon as I was finished reading the book, I immediately re-read it. Then I had to go back and read the entire series again.
If you don't have a weekend off or the luxury of staying up all night reading now and then, I would strongly warn you not to start reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince because if you do, it won't matter whether or not you have a weekend off, you will find yourself unable to close the book and go to sleep until you reach the end.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the single most compelling book of the series because it raises so many questions about how the series will conclude. Is Snape really evil? Who is R.A.B.? What really happened to Dumbledore? I don't know about you, but it's very hard to wait for the next Harry Potter book to come out.
