Harry Potter Years 1-5: Limited Edition Giftset (HD DVD, 2007)

BUYERS BEWARE! As you do get exactly what you paid for...these are HD DVDS and the seller does not explain to you that you can ONLY watch them on HD DVD PLAYERS which where only made and sold for a short period of time. THESE DVDS WILL NOT WORK in normal DVD players, PS3s, or HD TVS if you do not have the HD DVD PLAYER. Seller threatened to NOT accept my return if I gave poor feedback.

I have tried on several occasions to contact the seller to find out about a refund but I have not heard anything from the seller. I will not buy anything from this buyer again. I am still waiting on information on how to send these DVD's back for my refund!!!!!!!

Although this is HD DVD (an obsolescent format) the movies are great and the picture quality is fantastic. There are many bonus features on each disc as well as a separate bonus disc with additional extra features. The extras that come with the set are nice. The only issue is the box. It is made of paperboard and looks fantastic from a distance but closer examination shows the "cheapness" of the box. It is somewhat durable but definitely will not stand up to lots of use.

Super fast delivery. Perfect conditon. No complaints and I would definitely buy from again. This is what a great e-bayer is all about.

I was watching for the entire set of Harry Potter movies for my wife. This one was Exactly what I was looking for and mmore.

Harry Potter!!! yay!!! I loved the books just as much as the movies! the movies bring you in with the special effects!

I just attempted to play these discs, and they won't play in either of my DVD players. I have contacted the seller, and hope that they will do something to resolve the situation, but as of now, I cannot view these DVD's.

My daughter loves Harry Potter,and she asked me for one or two of the ones that she didn't have for a Christmas present. This whole set was so nice, I just decided to get the set instead of trying to find the ones she didn't have.

I never got to watch it. For the second time i learned something about DVD at a cost. I just got an HDTV and I never knew there had been a battle between HD DVD's and Blue Ray. I never had a TV that could do that so I was ignorant. I did not know that you need a special DVD player to play HD DVDs. No wonder this guy had so many cheap. I have waited years to buy a collectors set of Harry Potter. Now i have them and can not watch them. I wish they had a DVD player that can convert for HD DVD's I would purchase that. It is not fair to people who are stuck with HD DVD's especially ignorant ones like me who bought them later.
Two years ago I bought two Brat pack collector sets. I did not realize I was purchasing it from Amazon UK. I could not use them either. This time I was making sure it was my region and did not know about HD needing a special DVD player.

The DVD's are blank. Talked to the seller and he wanted me to send them back to him at my expense and he was going to keep his shipping fee out of the purchase price as well. Very poor business, and I will never buy from him again.

I bought the product as a gift for someone who loves Harry Potter. I like the packageing a lot but can not tell you anything about the material itself because it will be kept unopened.

I bought this as a gift, but will have to get another now. The packaging is fantastic and wonderfully done. The movies are well packed and great. I love the bonus cards and bookmarks. Overall a great product. Highly recommend to anyone who likes Harry Potter.

My HD DVD player did not play the HD HVDs because it did not have the proper software upgrade. I was only aware of this after I opened the package and found a warning leaflet included in the box. Also the giftset box is very poorly made. One of the hinges already off and other is loose.

Wife and I love this series of movies great family movies highly reconmend. Not just for kids but for everyone.

Excellent movies with excellent video and audio playback. Great for the potter series enthuiast. Recommend it to all. Also the right price.

I purchased this set of dvd's for those times when my grand children come over to visit. Because I have both HD-DVD and BluRay I could get a really good deal on the HD-DVD and it is sharp as 1080P can be. I have tried to find this locally, but could only find it on E-Bay. This brand new set was everything I thought it would be at a great price.

Item was shipped as promised and arrived in excellent condition. Would definitely order from this seller again. Item was well packaged and new as listed.

This seller sent me defective DVDs that could not be read by 3 different DVD players. I contacted the seller with no response. I then paid for the shipping to return them and was refunded only partial credit, as I was charged a $10 restocking fee. Multiple messages were sent to the seller requesting a refund of this fee, but to no avail, or response! I have now begun a dispute through e-bay. I do not recommend anyone to buy from this seller. I believe they are knowingly selling defective merchandise and making their money on the restocking fees.

This whole ebay deal was excellent. Came wrapped in plastic and everything that was in the package was in the box. The movies looked great and all the extras were more than i expected. Great buy.
