Harry Potter Years 1-5: Limited Edition Giftset (DVD, 2007)

Great gift for any Harry Potter lover in your life. My girlfriend owned all the books and obviously loves all the movies. I just wish they left room in the box for the two movies that will come out in the future.

Great collector's item. The whole set is very unique; from the customized bookmarks to the specially designed trunk everything comes in to the different designs distinguishing each of the movies. I'm not sure it's worth the retail value of $120, so if you can find it new through a different venue (such as E-bay) it's definitely worth it. Considering I was going to buy the first four DVDs separately, buying this was a great deal since I paid a third of the retail cost. The main downside is there will be more "Collector's Editions" of these movies as a new movie is released from now till 2011...

I absolutely loved how this set comes in a "trunk" that looks just like the one Harry takes to Hogwarts every year. The DVD's are all in "books" that look like his various titles he buys each year in Diagon Alley. It comes with a Computer game and a ton of bonus DVD's. One you can actually put into your computer as kind of a second bonus computer game. You'll get hours and hours of entertainment. I also loved the 5 piece bookmark set. This isn't any cheap paper bookmark set either...its really nice collectibles of something representing each of the movies. For example, a firebolt for the 3rd year, Hedwig (probably from first year), a Gryffindor badge, a Prophecy from year 5, etc.

It also came with several packs of trading cards like Harry might get from a pack of chocolate frogs. Really neat, nice quality. Many have foil accents.

I was so pleased to find this set here on ebay for a great deal. I'm so happy to get all the movies in one set. I'd recommend it to any buyer who is interested in the movies or in Harry Potter.

My family and I love the Harry Potter books and movies. We already have the complete set of 1-5 that we bought individually, but I really liked the idea of having a collectible set. I'm so happy that we decided to buy it. The set comes in a "trunk" that looks like the one that Harry takes on the Hogwarts Express each year. Each DVD year is in its own folder that looks like a book that Harry would have used that year in school. Each movie came with a bonus disk that showed the making of the movie, interviews with the actors and directors and a section where you can wander around Hogwarts and see the classes, bedrooms and dining room. Also included are a bonus Harry Potter game for the PC and a "Bonus DVD" which has more background information regarding the making of the movies from the books. The trading cards, which are enclosed in an envelope addressed to "Mr. H. Potter, The Cupboard under the Stairs" and the book marks were definitely a plus! I love the bookmarks!!! They are metal and represent different aspects of Harry's life at school. One is the Gryffindor coat of arms, one is the golden snitch, another is a globe with two serpents, another is Hedwig delivering a letter and the last is Harry's broom with ancient runes written on the handle. It is definitely a "brilliant" gift for either yourself or someone else.

The movies are wonderful of course; and I love the extras: 5 metal (and extremely nice) bookmarks, HP trading cards, special edition Hogwarts DVD game, and loads of special features!

My 7 year old son is into Harry Potter and loves this item. The bookmarks are great and the entire presentation of the DVD set is terrific!!

this is my second set of movies, bought just for the collectors value As always I love the harry potter movies and they will make a great addition to my collection

This is a great set though I have seen the movies many MANY times already both in theater as well as on DVD I I liked and loved about this collection was first the design of Harry Potter's personal trunk then upon collecting the item from this great seller I also found that the interior and its contents also received a unique care and individual design in itself. Each movie (5 contained in this set) had a flip case of two DVD disc and the case, while did not have the accustomed movie poster slapped on it, had what you might find on an old book in an undiscovered library in the world. Of course the DVDs received the same similar treatment as well and of course the DVDs have the film and even the additional special features it originally came with BEFORE this deluxe edition came to be. What came with it as well were fun metal bookmarks character, spell, creature card in the famous envelop that told the grand truth to Harry Potter addressed in the cupboard under the stairs all bound and a DVD of ADDITIONAL special features that are only for the deluxe here AND the DVD Harry Potter Game you play on your TV with your remote control where you can explore Hogwarts, be magical and create spells, go to classes and have fun being sorted, excluding the envelope and nice box firmly holding the metal bookmarks, in a strip wrapped around the DVDs with a sticker to mock a wax seal. Nothing came to my attention to make me dislike it and the only reason that made me by this was that not only would I have liked this product version of the films but the films that I have at home at are AT home and not with me and on top of that wondered to unknown locations.

This was a great buy and to work with this seller that sold it to me was an added bonus, you won't be disappointed with the item nor with this seller. :D

WoW what can I say. When I first opened up the box set I was shocked at the EXTREMELY HIGH QUALITY of this box set. I have purchased several pricey box sets of tv shows but this set is by far the nicest. This is worth every penny you spend. There are bookmarks included in the set and they are definitely not cheap paper bookmarks but rather they are made of metal. More like jewelery. The dvd's come in a nice chest. The dvd's are put in a case that looks like real books. Plus you get trading cards, a dvd game all in addition to every single Harry Potter movie that has been made so far. If you can find this box set buy it! There are just so many extras and such high quality that you won't be disappointed.

I bought it because my son asked for all of the Harry Potter movies for his birthday. I did it in a rush, so I did not know how much other stuff was included. It had collectable bookmarks, trivia a dvd game, and more!!! I was thrilled to see how happy it made him ---he said it was the best present he has ever gotten. A fast seller/shipper was a good thing too! I love Ebay!!

Well done cinematically, and as close as possible to the very long books. The story gets progressively darker as the protagonist ages and becomes more rebellious and distrustful, and I feel that younger kids should not be exposed. After a certain age, however, there are themes that are useful teaching moments. The movies stand alone, and leave out some of the more mature portions of the books, as well as some of the more dull subplots. Worth seeing just because they have become cultural icons.

Harry potter is an excellent movie collection. If you haven't read the books then you definitely are missing out. They have great detail and info that isn't in the movies and helps a person understand more of what's going on.

I like having the (temporarily) complete set all together in one box. I had a set already, but this one came with all the bonus disks as well, which I didn't already have. The big disappointment was that you need to have the remote to your dvd player to move through all the bonus disks. I haven't seen the remote to my dvd player in about a year now, so it would appear that I bought them for nothing. It would be nice if they would just auto-play without making you jump through hoops to get to watch them.

Without a doubt, this is one of the most impressively packaged sets I've seen to date and seems, for all intents and purposes, like a full-series collection. Alas, with two films left to go, we're offered only part of Harry's epic journey in a set which feels (and is subsequently priced) as if it should have been dedicated to the entire, seven-film Potter mythology. Apparently, some loose-lipped Hogwarts students let slip the "Money Tree" spell to the wide-eyed execs over at Warner Brothers.

As I was looking for a present for my Grandson I noticed this on eBay. Though it was used it is still like new and 1/2 the cost of new.

The Harry Potter series is INGENIOUS!! I think every child, as well as every adult,should be exposed to these adventures. Harry Potter will be remembered for decades!!!

I have waited to watch the Harry Potter movies until they had all come out. I wanted a set that had them all together. I also liked that this set came with some extras as well. It made the set that much more worth purchasing. I am very happy with my purchase!

I bought it as a christmas gift for my fiance. I ended up having to buy the set at a book store because the seller took along time to ship it. I ordered it at least two weekes before christmas and it didn't get to me until almost a week maybe two weeks after christmas. I was very disappointed. And also when I ordered it I thought I was getting something that have never been used. But it wasn't sealed and some of the things were missing from the package. We ended up giving it to a friend so it wasn't a huge deal but I don't think I would ever shop with that seller again.
