Hard Candy - Madonna (CD)

The beats nice, and the melodies are infectious. You'll find yourself singing along. The first half of this cd seems to be all i listen to though. The music kind of slows down half way through. Overall, a great purchase.

This CD of Madonna is average. I feel all her other albums are more creative, the songs are o.k. This is a continuation of her last cd which is so much better. The reason I chose to buy this cd is because I am going to her concert and I've been a fan since I was a child.

I absolutely love this album. They say it's suppose to be her last CD with WB. She's had a long career with WB and I guess it's time to move on. Every song is thumping and bumping and the grooves are all delicious and precise! Hooks and melodies that stick in your head like "She's Not Me." This is one of my favorite tracks on the CD. "Give It 2 Me" is infectious especially if you can obtain a copy of the remixes especially Eddie Amador and Paul Oakenfold's remixes! HOT! No matter how many times I listen to the album, I never seem to grow tired of this album. Candy Shop is one my other favs on the CD. 4 minutes is my least favorite. I know, sacriledge! But one can't always like everything. It's the concept I guess. However, the remixes for 4 minutes are much tastier than the original version. Especially the Peter Rauhofer Does New York remix fits the song unlike the original CD version which is lack luster. It's not so much the lyrics as the music. At any rate, Madonna made a good choice as to have Give It 2 Me as the next single. It's marvaleous. Overall you will not be disappointed. 5 Stars!

Madonna's new cd Hard Candy is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I'm crazy about it and the more I listen to this cd the more that I love it!!!!!!! Madonna's music is always great and this cd shows how AMAZING her music really is. Everyone, go out and get this cd you're going to love it!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait for her world tour Sticky & Sweet. Madonna you're the greatest Icon in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a big fan of Madonna for quite some time. My purchase of this CD started as just a desire to have the song "4 Minutes", but once I listened to the whole CD I was very impressed. Many great songs fill the CD, some that I could even relate to! The whole CD is great music.

I love Madonna... This CD reminds me of her old stuff... Love it!!! Great Dance Music which reminds me of my younger years in Gay Clubs. Madonna is pushing 50 and she is still as terrific as she was back in her 20's. Her voice to me is even better now.

this is definitly Madonna at her best. Each song fits like a glove. the best song on the album is voices.

There are a few songs on this album that I liked, like "4 Minutes" with Justin Timberlake, "Incredible" and "Devil wouldn't recognize you." But mostly it's just talking with music. "Candyshop" is just annoying, and I was less than impressed with Kanye's throwback feature. Overall I would recommend saving your money and buying the 2-3 GOOD songs off of iTunes or Rhapsody instead.

I would say this one is a four and a half star cd.
It has quite some catchy tunes and this cd did not dwell on dance music as was done in the past. There are dance versions of the songs of course.
All though she has aged, at 49 years old, she still has a lot of talent.
All in all it is worth listening to over and over again.
People I know are buying this due to the Alex Rodriguez incident.
Madonna is very smart when it comes to marketing-creating a controversy.

Well it looks like the Queen of "Reinvention" forgot to open up her own play book. While a lot of the songs "have a good beat and are easy to dance to" that's about it. A lot of the songs have already been done (in terms of having a marching band in the back for one example) have been done by Fleetwood Mac back in the day and as recently as a few years ago by Nelly and other artists.

It's solid album for Madonna, who has aligned herself with the popular current pop artists and producers and it generated an average product. BUT nothing cutting edge like some of her past work. While she does not look 50, it seems that maybe Madonna's day in the pop music sun is beginning to fade. If any artist can prove me wrong it's lady Madonna. I hope that she does just that.

MMM. I don't see what the fuzz was all about. I thought the album was mediocre at best. There's a few songs that are good, I won't deny that. I love Madonna, but this album doesn't mail to disappoint all the hype.
The writing just seems so rushed to me. Like she was just trying to finish off this album to get out of her Warner contract.
I failed to hear much hip-hop in it, not that I was want to hear hip-hop. It's all so bubble gummy and for Madonna to put out music that sounds like should be done by a tween is a bit of a disappointment.
But like I said, there are some good tunes in it. "4 Minutes" is extremely catchy and you'll be humming it without even knowing it. "Give It 2 Me" is good aside from the kinda amateurish lyrics. "Heartbeat" is good as well, has that kinda cool 80's freestyle sound going on and the best song on the album by far, for me, is "Miles Away", the lyrics are smart and the music is really amazing.
All in all, it's a pretty average album, not her worst, but certainly not her best.
I usually enjoy hearing what Madonna has to say through her music, but this time around, I didn't much care for listening.

Oh yeah, and by the way, if you're thinking of getting the "Special Edition" box. Don't waste your cash. I'll spare you the disappointment. It's just a box with cd a liner booklet that probably has the same photos as the regular cd and a bag of those after dinner mint candies. They couldn't even through in a bag of Jolly Ranchers to make it look like you got something special. The bag isn't even marked. It's just a clear bag that probably came in a bundle bag of those candies that you get a Costco.

Excellent dance music with high energy and uplifting. Incredible and she is not me are two of the best songs that will not be on the top 40.

Hard Candy is a great dance and hip-hop cd ! Madonna always know how to blend music well and keep current with times! This cd is more daring with great collabo and strong dance hits ! If you are a Madonna fan than you will love this cd !

Well, it's amazing. This CD is alot more than the cover implies. With all the crap that calls itself "music" nowadays, its good to see an "old school" performer deliver with new school freshness. Sure, it felt like I was back in time (lots of 80's influenced dance music beats here) and it felt good. But the news stuff, particularly 4 minutes--well, outstanding! Great, Great music here, fantastic production values and although I do not like the silly, self serving lifestyle and her phony english accent, this disc gets an A+ as it's the first Madonna CD I'v ever bought, outside of the single for "Music" back in 2000. Good work nasty girl.

I've been a Madonna fan since she has come out in the 80's. Her music has evolved so much since then, love the dance style music! Fresh tunes mixed with that Timbaland flavor!

I loved the CD. It was new and it mailed on time. The cost was not any less expensive as a CD that I would buy at a store on promo. I would not pay that price again on ebay for a cd.

I like the entire album. The songs are great and you can hear a lot of the "old" Madonna. I don't like the album cover. I think that she (Madonna) is too old to have this type of pose. She needs to think of her daughter!

Otherwise, the album is good.

I have been a fan of Madonna since I have been 9 years old and danced in front of my mirror with my hairbrush as a microphone ...I can't believe she is still going strongly and putting out such a good record...again!
Pick it up, you won't be desappointed! It is fun, sticky and sweet!
