Latest entry into the Stitch 'N Bitch world

Stoller's Stitch 'N Bitch and Stitch 'N Bitch Nation have become icons of the knitting craze: every hip young needleworker has at least one of them next to the yarn stash. Now, she uses the same approach that made her knitting books so successful in this entrée to sexed-up hookwork that takes pains to show crocheting isn't for grandma anymore.

There are patterns for beginners, intermediate crocheters, and experienced crocheters. No afghans here.

Great book! So many different ideas and current ideas for crocheting. Not just for your grandmother anymore! I love it. My only problem? Trying to figure out which thing to make first.

This book makes you feel like you're learning to crochet with your best girl friend. Debbie Stroller is supper funny. The pattern are not the usual over-sized boxy sweaters. They look like high end modern designer sweaters. This book is a must have for anyone wanting to learn to crochet or to improve your skills!

THe instructions are very clear. I only knew a few basic stitches, but I'm already completeing several projects in the book. The styles are up to date and wearable. And I luv the variuous sizes given for each project. I hope she writes more books!

This is a great book. I think it should have more how tos in it. There are stitches that are in the patterns that they don't explain.

I was so looking forward to receiving this book in the mail...it felt as though I was stalking our local mail carrier! I love the easy to read and understand patterns. The detailed stitch explanations. It's all around exactly what I was hoping and expecting.

I love the no nonsense straight to the point way she goes about explaining everything. Her designs are easy to read and if by some chance you should get stuck....you can always refer to the front of the book for a little more of a detailed explanation on a stitch, a method, etc.

The best 1st crochet book to own!

My grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was 8 years old. Just the basics, but I never could make anything great from what I knew. So, after buying MANY books, I found this one. It's very easy to read, helps you learn the crochet lingo (the abbreviations) and the instructions are almost impossible to mess up. I recommend to this book to anyone who is just beginning, or a skilled crocheter. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it :)

I liked the very clear instructions, even though I am a seasoned crafter, I still improved on the basics. I also really loved the fashionable projects in this book, even a bikini! There is a bit of profanity, and a lot of humor and fun.

  Stitch n Bitch Rocks

I'm a knitter and absolutely love Stitch n Bitch. I've never been interested in crocheting because I have never seen any patterns that that I liked. I hate to admit it but I thought that crocheting was ugly and all the patterns were ugly. Then I saw that Stitch n Bitch came out with the Happy Hooker and I couldn't resist. I love Debbie and what she's brougt to the Knitting and now Crocheting crafts. The books read awesome and have fun punky patterns (which is the main reason for me buying my first book). When I bought my first Stitch n Bitch (for knitting) I had never picked up a pair of needles and likewise for the Happy Hooker (excluding Gram Naid teaching me to chain at 6). Thanks to Debbie's great writing (and ability to teach in words to young punky people like me) I can now knit and crochet. The entire Stitch n Bitch collection is awesome and I can't wait to see what she comes out with next.

  Great Book for all Crocheters!!

This is a great book for all crocheters. It gives wonderful directions for each and every stitch. However, some of the patterns are off on size and have some mistakes. I have made several of the designs in the book and had to frog a few times, but after a little effort they all came out beautiful.

great book for the basics and beyond for crocheting

I love this book. I bought one for myself a few weeks ago and I have been crocheting for years. It is very basic and easy to follow and I even learned a thing or two from it. Most of the patterns are great. There are a couple I would never do, but for the most part it is excellent. I bought this one for my future daughter in law because she is just beginning and I want her to be able to learn new things and enjoy the crocheting that she is doing. I am sure she will love it!
