The Happiest Millionaire (DVD, 2004)

The product was new, sealed in original wrapping as advertised. Merchandise was sent quickly with follow up from the shipper which was appreciated. I would order again from this seller without hesitation.

This classic Disney musical is from the same era as Mary Poppins and is fairly funny, but it lacks the charm of Mary Poppins. The most memorable character is the butler played by Tommy Steele. Most of the best scenes surround him as he rounds up a loose aligator or keeps a bridegroom from getting away. Fred Macmurray is good as the father and proves that he can sing.

A good trip down memory lane, but I would suggest renting it. It's not a keeper.

Another Fred MacMurray classic. It's cute, funny, and has a moral and a happy ending. If you want to watch a good wholesome and realitively unknown Disney family movie, I highly recommend this one. I remembered it from my childhood, my grandchildren were rivited and laughed and laughed. They want their parents to watch it with them, now.

I remember watching this movie with my family when I was a child. Recently, we saw a Disney Documentary that mentioned many of the early Disney productions. After being reminded of this movie, I purchased it and we have watched it quite a few times! ALL of my children (ages 11, 9, 7, 4, 2) LOVE this movie. In the movie, the main character (Fred McMurray) is an eclectic millionaire who keeps pet alligators in his home. The children now refer to this as "The Alligator Movie". Also in this movie, Natalie Wood and even John Davidson. If you are looking for a great family movie - this is the one for you! Great for all ages, and fun for the family.

I love the music, the humor, the acting, I love it all. It makes you laugh, cry and sing along. What a great movie for the whole family. Just make sure you have people watching that like musicals, or there will be a whole lot of groans and eye-rolling going on. Still, it is a great movie!

it a funny light hearted musical thats what I like best. it has catchy tunes and is entertainment for the entire family. In the hard ecomonic times that we are facing today its nice to sit back and laugh and enjoy somthing that you don't need to think about other than to enjoy the show.
I decided to buy it because I consider it a classic that I look forward to sharing with my grandkids.

I have seen the movie several times on t.v - -and througly enjoyed it.
I Wanted to be able to share it with my grandchildren -
a wonderful family movie - - family values - -and family fun.
Now we can watch it when we want!!

THE HAPPIEST MILLIONARE is a charming film that received mediocre reviews at best from critics. Why is one of the great mysteries. Millionare has that polished, expensive Disney feel of the Mary Poppinns period and the performers bring great joy. What sold Millionare to me when I was a child was the absolutely beautiful doe-eyed charm of actress Lesley Ann warren with her lovely speaking voice as well as singing. Fresh from the TV production of Rogers & Hamerstein's Cinderella, she was an enchanting heroine I will never forget. To me, at my young age, she and John Davidson were the ultimate romantic couple. The romance of Cordillia Drexel Biddle and Angier Duke (a real historical figure) is ellegant and heart soaring to the unjaded in this sweeping Disney musical.

Even if you are not on the higher rungs of wealth and society you will recognize the struggles of letting go/breaking free of strong parental ties as well as clashes in cultural mores. Toss in an atypical choice for household pets and you get a delightful musical! At least in the short version.

I purchased this to replace my VHS to find out it is 172 minutes long! Of course, since I grew up in the 60's I really like the stars in this movie so listening to them sing additional songs was not so painful to me, but for someone who isn't partial to musicals they'll probably want to F.Forward through Fred's and Greer's singing. But the romantic tunes and the Irish tunes are what make this one of my favorites.

And it's probably not for pacifists, globalists and those who are antiChristian, but for the rest of us it's a nice bit of joyful entertainment.

This is the cutest and warmest film. It is a romance and also shows excellent values.
It is also one of the funniest movies I have seen in years!

I have loved this movie since I was a child, and it is still just as wonderful today. I love Tommy Steele. "Fortuousity" is something that everyone should swear by. The idea of following your dreams to do what you want to do in your life is an endeavor for which everyone should strive.

This is a great family movie! We watched it as our children were growing up and our daughter (28) requested this as a part of her Christmas. So, we not only have great memories while she was growing up, we can also enjoy this now with our children as adults.

A very fun family movie. Everyone will enjoy the singing and dancing. Top stars and live crocodiles. Fred MacMurray is wonderful in his Bible and Boxing School. The costumes are what evey little girl wants to play dress-up in. And boys will want to throw a punch or two. We love the Disney older Family Movies. This is one to watch over and over again, we do.

I love all the actors in this movie. I wanted a movie with Leslie Ann Warren and the Davidson fellow it is as well. I have another movie with the same two actors in it and I really like them.

I always liked Fred McMurray and this movie is a At.I had this movie on VHS and wore it out.Naturally when I found it available on DVD I made the purchase.
Now I can resume watching with my children , since there's nothing fit on TV anymore.

A truly wonderful movie! They just make movies like this very often anymore. If you are going to buy a DVD, this is a keeper!

I just bought a DVD for Christmas and I'm happy ot report that it is great! Perfectly new and well worth the search!

This funny musical has been a family favorite for years!! Your family will love it, too, esecially if your family has lots of girls.
