It Happened at the World's Fair (DVD, 2004)

I bought this DVD because I went to the Seattle World's Fair as a child and I also saw the movie when it came out. I haven't found it anywhere else except on E-Bay. Of course it wasn't as great as I remember but was still good and brought back memories of the fair. The songs sung by Elvis were great as usual. The story line was a little "hokey" but entertaining none the less.

Did not receive DVD from seller after one and half months. Finally received a refund. Cannot give the movie a fair rating.

Fun, music and Elvis all happen in this romp boasting one of the best backdrops of any Elvis Presley movie: the 1962 Seattle World's Fair, with its showpiece Space Needle, monorail and more. The King plays pilot-for-hire Mike, whose hope of starting his own flying business is grounded by the gambling of his co-pilot Danny (Gary Lockwood). The pair hitch to Seattle, where Mike finds romance, Danny finds easy marks and both find problems prior to a Happy Ending. Kurt Russell, star of 1979's Elvis biopic, plays the child who wallops Mike in the shins. And among the 10 songs are I'm Falling in Love Tonight, Relax and the gold record One Broken Heart for Sale.

THIS IS A GREAT ELVIS MOVIE, NO ELVIS FAN SHOULD BE WITH OUT THIS MOVIE. ELVIS SINGS A LOT OF GOOD SONGS IN THIS MOVIE, LIKE, 1. BEYOND THE BEND. 2. RELAX. 3. TAKE ME TO THE FAIR.

AND LIKE MOST MOVIES THIS MOVIE HAS A HAPPY ENDING.

ELVIS LOOKS REALLY HANDSOME IN THIS MOVIE.

THIS IS A SUPER MOVIE, THAT PEOPLE WILL WATCH OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

I CAN BE SURE THAT IT WILL HAVE YOUR ATTETION FROM BEGING TO END.

I love anything Elvis Presley plays in.He is my favorite entertainer.This movie also has Kurt Russell in it,when he was a little boy.It was his first time to play in a movie.

I think this movie is great for escapism and vintage Elvis stuff. Sometimes, though, I watch it just for the background. The chance to see the Seattle World's Fair as a backdrop is worth it! Beyond the fair, I think the mobile homes, the clothes, the kitchen scenes, the clothes and the living room scenes offer a fabulous record of how things were. Wonderful stuff!

This DVD copy of Elvis Presley's movie - "It Happened At The World's Fair" -
a movie that takes place during Seattle's 1962 World's Fair, turned out to be an excellent one, even though it was previously opened.
There were no problems throughout the disk.
The only problem a person might have with it is it's widescreen format.
I just used the DVD player's zoom feature to have a closer look.
The low price and free shipping helped me to make-up my mind to purchase it.

The movie itself is an enjoyable tale of two pilots taking a trip to Seattle's World's Fair with a Chinese American farmer and his young niece.
The songs Elvis sings are good, especially - "One Broken Heart For Sale."
This definitely is - in my opinion - one of Elvis' best movies.

Like it because it is Elvis. I didn't have the movie and wanted it. I have seen this movie before and liked it. Elvis played a good part. Would highly recommend seeing this movie.

The movie is was great! I haven't seen it since I was a little girl. When I bought it I recieved it fast and well packed. I've been collecting item from the worlds fair and this was a must to go with the collection! Thanks for offering it and Thanks for getting to me fast. A must see movie for all of us that remember the Seattle Worlds Fair and Elvis at his Best!!

It's here, it was a little sticky and I have not watched it but I really brought it for my Mom for christmas.

Love the old Elvis movies. As a younster remember going to the movies on Saturdays for the doulble features. This movie brought back a lot of memories.

Best movie that Elvis has made! Very tender, romantic and great music to this! The DVD is an excellent gift for my husband ....who loves all of his movies, songs and anything about the king....Great story and wonderful picture.

VERY ENTERTAINING ELVIS MOVIE. GOOD STARS, GOOD PLOT. HARD TO GET, ONE OF THE MORE EXPENSIVE ELVIS MOVIES, BUT WORTH THE MONEY.

I purchased this dvd for my wife who has a collection of Elvis films on VHS and DVDs. We watched the DVD together and she was pleased that it was of good quality.
