It Happened to Jane (DVD, 2005)

This movie is a childhood favorite, being a railfan. I love trains and this is one of the few movies where they were incorporated into the plot effectively. Also, Ernie Kovacs played a convincing railway executive.

I like the many film shots of New Haven railroad equipment, albeit painted for the fictional Eastern & Portland, especially the famous EMD FL9 electric/diesel-electric locomotives.

Additionally, I love lobsters. No, not to eat. I would keep one for a pet myself, but I prefer to let them live where they belong! I love the scene where Jack Lemon throws Sam the Lobster into the "Girl's side" and tells him to "Live!" Homerus americanus is a wonderful creature. However, I am not quite the animal rights activist Doris Day is.

It is an all around likable movie.

I love the old movies like this light hearted one. I liked to price. I marked it good because the product was broke when I got it. The dvd and case were broke, but it still plays alright. I didn't know how to return it for a different one so as long as it played I just kept it.

I love this movie. I first saw it on tv a while back and instantly fell in love. I had never heard of this movie before. I just thought that the chemistry between Jack Lemon and Doris Day was amazing. It is a really cute story. I just think this is a great movie to have in one's collection. I watch it all the time and just love it. My 10 year old daughter can almost quote the movie word for word. hmmm, I guess we have watched it alot, eh? Porsche, dba, The Olde Barn Door

I would love to tell you about the movie, but I never got it. I am still waiting. I have seen the movie in the passed, and loved it thats why I bidded on it (and won).

I am a old movie and Doris Day fan, and had never seen this on dvd. Excellent quality and the small town background is absolutely charming.

What can you say bad about Doris Day ? And if you like trains and railroads, you will enjoy lots of great shots of the steam engine, Old 97. Some good scenes of Jack Lemmon fired the engine while the engineer yells "MORE STEAM". It's a good, clean, funny movie about a hard working woman who isn't going to let a big business like the railroad push her around. Try it. You'll like it. Good for kids as well as adults.

I love this old movie with doris day and jack lemon together.
I thought the plot exhibits good life lessons and morals and they still come out smelling like roses in the end.
