Handspring Visor(Graphite)

The Handspring Visor is a great little PDA. I've used mine for years to download stories off the internet for reading later. It's durable (unlike some of the newer models), and there's a ton of software out there that you can get for little or nothing.

I bough HandSpring Visor 1000 with Palm OS. The device is powered by 2 AAA batteries and last for few weeks of normal using.

New batteries included? What more need I say.

Great for taking notes and has a great calender function. The graffiti is very fast and accurate. I highly recommend this if you can get it for under 12$.

I'd been using intensively a such PDA 7 years ago (2001) and was very satisfied. Technology has evolved and better models exist now, but this one satisfies me for the daily use. It's a very good designed item, still usable, by adding a few excellent freewave (there are a plenty of them available on the internet). It's well supported under Linux with "jpilot" and "visor.ko" kernel module. This model has 2 bad things, thus : operating system is not upgradable, but it's a well supported version, and there's no flash memory (only RAM), so you need to backup it frequently on a PC or have a springboard backup module (I have an old one).

It is a great value for it's price. Great battery life and functions. The only drawback that i can think of is that it is not a color screen, but I'm not too concerned with that. I bought it to tune my Rtek 2.0 for my RX7. I havn't gotten the Rtek yet so i cant really review on how good it does the job that i bought it for, but I'm sure it will work out fine. So if any RX7 owners out there looking for something to tune your Rtek with, give the visor a try.
