Handspring Pro(Silver)

The seller in my mind was a criminal in that they sold a broken non functioning electrical device without saying it was non functioning. They noted that the device had a "chip" on the case.

No one should ever buy anything from this seller as they can not be trusted in that they were totally dishonest.

I am also going to be much more careful with buying on E-Bay.

I had previously bought three similar Palm PDAs from two other vendors and they were perfect. This seller deliberately withheld accurate information.

I would without hesitations buy from this seller again, Great commutation !!!!Does what they say they will do.

There is nothing on the market like these. palm OS, writing on the screen, proper synchronization with all my computers, ability to write applications. a winner. If only the Palm phone would allow writing on the screen. Ah well.

The "Pro" model is the last model of the Handspring Visors. Fastest processor and most memory. Screen is B&W, but has recharbable battery which is way less hassle than other models. Even though obsolete by 2009 standards, still usefull at garage sale price.

I know these aren't in general use anymore, but this product is all that's needed to keep track of a calender and addresses if you don't have a new phone. This one however, I have to question. While I was downloading the software, my computer did a "critical lockdown". The only thing I can surmise from this is that it was in the "software". I was very careful to start in safe-mode, but I'm still concerned. After the completion of the download, I was able to "hot-sync" with a previous version of Palm and so far have had no further trouble.
I'm holding my breath.

I love this unit. Small compact, portable. 16mB ram is enough for my applications-easy to sync, no technical problems- rechargeable no need for battery replacement

Got this to replace my Visor Edge. Why this instead of an all encompassing telephone.

With the Visor I can do so much more than with a phone. I can also use a few modules purchased years ago for my Visor Edge, particularly the MP3 player, the extra memory and the Innovision. Handspring was a company with a vision and with quality products.

If I carry a couple of SD cards in my wallet, I can take hours of notes and listen to a huge music library on this device. It is thicker than the Edge, but still small enough. The 16MB memory may seem small, but on the Edge there was only 8MB and I could take notes at 4-day IT seminars.

The infrared port makes it easy to send notes, memos and addresses to other devices, ie: my ThinkPad, or my phone. The sync software allows me synchronize with both my desktop and my laptop.

Okay, so maybe I am stuck in the 1990s but I love PDAs, particularly my Handspring. I got my first one as a present years ago and quickly learned how to use it. I liked the way I could hot sync it with Outlook and make additions, changes and corrections on my desktop. I used its games to relieve boredom on long company trips, jot notes to myself, and run countless figures on its calculator. When it finally quit, I thought I'd have to do what my kids have been telling me for years -- abandon the PDA and download the data to my Blackbery. Then I found a new one, still in the box, on eBay. Today, I have a Handspring with all the conveniences of my old one but with twice the memory and a rechargeable battery. Now, I'm using my PDA as my "office assistant" and my Blackberry as my telephone, alarm clock, e-mail minder, camera, news source and search engine. At some point, I may come around to my kids" way of thinking. But for now, I'm tapping away with a stylus. Life is good.

I started using this PDA to record my daily gluose reading about seven years ago. I had no problems uploading this device and bring my results to my endcrinologist. She adjuste my pump and life was great. I started to use the calendar and down loaded some other programs. Ithis was a GREAT PDA!!!!!! I use the smartphone now and still like the Visor Pro more. A wonderful piece of equipment.

The Handspring, coupled with a labscope module, makes a great diagnostic tool for a professional auto technician.However, it is worth the price, if only used as a memo pad and appointment calender.
It was a pleasant surprise to find a new Handspring for a fraction of the cost of the first PDA that I ever owned.
This product was shipped in a timely matter and arrived in perfect condition.
This merchant is very strongly recommended by me.

This particular PDA, though considered a dinosaur by today's gadgets, has a quasi-cult following with it's springboard design and they are increasingly becoming harder to find. I found one NIB on EBay and am ecstatic since the price was half of what I paid for my first one 10 years ago.

good item but unable to hotsync. no battery to use. If you out and about and you are running low,, you could be out of luck. Just may sure your battery is charged up. Don't know what to do. Need a PDA for cachemate for geocaching. May ask for a refund. :)

I've use a Visor for about 7 years now and as a friend says, it's my Plactic Brain. I wouldn't leave home without it.

HE SENT ME A DEFECTIVE UNIT. HE IS SELLING NUMEROUS OTHERS OF THE SAME THING. I ASKED TO IF HE WOULD TRADE ME OUT OR REFUND MY MONEY WHEN I SHIPPED THE UNIT BACK. SAID HE IS DONE WITH THE TRANSACTION. NOW I'M STUCK WITH A UNIT THAT DOESN'T WORK AND OUT MONEY. HE HAD OTHERS THAT HE CAN TRADE.

I got this to replace a finally worn-out (after many years) Handspring Visor Deluxe. I like the the Handspring Visor line a lot and am very disappointed that they decided to put all their eggs in the Treo basket and stop manufacturing these. I considered a Palm Pilot when my Deluxe started getting quirky, but I'm glad I got the Pro, instead (MUCH better deal, too!)

Everything was just as described. I was even told these were European Visor Pro and would have to get an adapter to have it work here. I was able to find an adapter. I would do business with this person again.
